I don't know how people can say that josh was a good guy. Hell he was adult and on top of that he is a surgeon. He treated Castle like shit in hospital he knew very well that Castle had nothing to do with shooting. He knew how to handle pressure then how the hell did he treated him like that and he was more interested in his professional career than Beckett.

So glad you let us see how they became “us” after her shooting...it was refreshing to see her let him be there and she actually told him she loved him too, without being prompted by him saying it first. Loved this!

Lovely story - and they really did seem ready to become a couple by this point in the series, if only the gunshot wound hadn't set Kate back emotionally. I was a little surprised that when you had Kate thinking about the times Castle had saved her before, she went back to the saving the city that got them together in this fanfic, but not to the cemetery sniper shot that landed her in the hospital for this scene. I did like that Josh came to check on Kate and was understanding of Castle, sort of blessing their relationship and formally relinquishing his claim (already done by their breakup, but sometimes feelings of possessiveness linger) by asking Castle to take care of her. He isn't the bad guy, just the wrong guy.
