Interesting story. I really like the Witchblade and I'm looking forward to more of your work. As for things that you could use to improve your writing is being constant when it comes to character deaths. While I can't find the exact moment you killed off the rat in ch1, you did put him as deceased in the Prophet article in ch2 and I think you mentioned him getting decapitated. Unless Moldyshorts is practising necromancy and we will meet a zombie rat the ending of this chapter is confusing.

The rest of this chapter...Wohooo boy. The Philospher stone bit, getting the Darkness to talk (hilarious) and seeing Jackie in action while the Angelus prepares to strike...

Pretty good so far although I didn't like one thing and thats What the Angelus and Witchblade said or implied about the Excalibur and would suggest making the Excalibur a separate entity like a man made Magical Answer to the witchblade or atleast WAS a fraction of the Witchblade that has been lost to time and has by now centuries later become its own item in perfect balance with the Witchblade unable to be reabsorbed. Maybe something that needs to come into contact or in the area of the witchblade to activate again. Like the Sword of Gryffindor would be a good choice it's a sword like the mythical Excalibur, is magical and is at this time directly connected to Harry. It can be the Excalibur Sleeping as it just needs to come in contact the Witchblade one last time. I suggest this because having Hermione be the witchblade wielder and then basically saying 'Maybe if Harry proves his power and worth the witchblade can take pity on him and gift him the Excalibur' completely devalues Harry's roles especially since you had Hermione own Voldemort to start off with and the question basically becomes why not have Hermione and Jackie hunt Riddle down hold him in place let Harry kill him and prophecy complete.

Ginny should be the Angelus wielder, she is close enough to Harry and Hermione to prevent them from just striking her down, plus can play on the Ginny vs Hermione pairing push by the fans of each pairing. Also Ginny being the Angelus plays with the Riddle possession from book 2 where she isn't in charge of her own body.

I would suggest giving the DE's one or two Artifacts so they can somewhat compete with a side that has The Witchblade, a Equally as powerful Excalibur and on occasions The Darkness. Maybe give The Ember and Glacial Stones or The Bloodsword and the Rapture.

Nice story. Why do I get the feeling that the Witchblade will learn about Polyjuice Potion, and knowing Hermione has a crus on Harry, will try to get her to convince Harry to use Polyjuice to become a girl(maybe even a second Hermione, though it would inform Harry of Hermione's true bodybshape instead of the glamour), and have lesbian sex with Harry? Looking forward to the next chapter.
