This might be weird, especially considering the content of this story, but my favorite part of it was when Pyrhha said, “Maybe I want someone to depend on, instead of being depended on. No one ever told me how hard it would be to find a man when you can already protect yourself.”

I may have been possibly paraphrasing there, but that part is just so perfect because it sums up the entirety of
Pyrhha’s dilemma, especially that last line. That little talk was honestly one of the better scenes I’ve read on this site. While it was short it fit well in this story’s theme but could also be used in another type of fic as well.

So bravo, I enjoyed this immensely.
