no, but. i love sirius in this. it's so HIM to not want to admit that he's actually bad at something. he's /sirius black/. he's not bad at stuff.
marlene is amazing. i don't read a lot of fics about her, but i love her personality and characterisation that seems to be agreed upon in fanon. the sass.
i do wish you had some more prose in this; it would've made the scenes more,,, colorful(?) and easier to envision
god, i'm so utterly glad that sirius aPOLOGISED because he's was an ass to her. i also like marlene's (sass, again!) want to hit sirius with the book. that made me laugh.
i'm not sure if the secret squirrel thing is supposed to be a reference to something, but i love it and it's funny either way. if it is a reference, that went way over my head. if it isn't i would really like to know where that came from?

I honestly love when you do this in fics, as much as I want to kill you for it. It's just so happy and I'm loving the fic and then BAM PLOT TWIST!

I loved what you did with Sirius studying Muggle Studies. I hc Sirius doing Muggle Studies to piss off his parents but then actually liking it, so it was nice to see someone write it. The fact that he struggled with it too made it even better! Like, the way you handled him failing and admitting that he's great at everything else seemed so perfectly in character for him.

The time jumps are beautiful. I love a good time jump, and I think they work really well to set up the frame of the fic and give us enough information without trying to connect them all too much so that we're overloaded. It makes the last section stand out oh so much more, and I think in some way it hits harder this way.

I freaking loved the end though! As much as it killed me, it was also so much yes. Sirius owning up to being a dick and that he should have wised the fuck up when he was younger was perfect! And bringing back the book was a stroke of genius!

One thing I'm intrigued about, though, is WHY ARE THEY SQUIRREL MEETINGS? Did I miss the explanation? Is it just a random name? Did she teach him about squirrels one time? I need to know!

Okay wow, fuck you, I'm crying. No, literally. This was heartfelt and sweet and sad, and the ending seriously broke my heart.

First off, let me say that I'm a hard core Blackinnon shipper, and this captured them perfectly. I loved Marlene's comments and Sirius' refusal to let his friends know he was failing Muggle Studies. I loved the fact that Marlene threatened to hit him with a book. (Maybe it would knock some sense into him...?)

Second, a couple teensy typos I spotted: "swahili" should be capitalized, and [you're jealousy is showing] "you're" should be "your."

But I absolutely adored this. I loved how the prompts were combined, and I loved the ending, and I loved how Sirius actually admitted that he was an immature pig. So yeah. Generally, I just loved this :p

Okay I love the idea of Sirius not wanting to admit he's failing (especially muggle studies because let's be honest there's still this tiny part of him that thinks muggles should be simple) and sirius taking muggle studies to piss his parents off and then falling in love with the subject is absolutely amazing.

I love the relationship between Sirius and Marlene here. They tease each other and laugh and yet Sirius trusts her to keep his secret and she does. bless friends like that.

THE ENDING THOUGH. YOU ARE RUDE. it was all cute and fluffy and charming and then you went and threw in some DEAD. why. why would you do that. (it's amazing. right in the damn feels kind of amazing.) I love it. I hate you for it.

Grammar and flow and stuff are amazing as always. I love the hard cut between Mar's dialogue and the headstone, because it takes a minute for it to hit you what exactly is happening and then you /know/ and ow. amazing.
