I get this is not the show, you obviously have a lot of changes - the change in teams, the different ways they have to work it out. Such as Ino's first jujitsu being a mind destroyer than a body snatcher.

I found myself a bit aggravated that Ino got a lot of hate, that she was a bully and the like. But I don't recall Sakura being much better than Ino in that regard either.

However, I am glad to see that if her attack could do that damage that she is brought up to task for it. She shouldn't have been given the task Asuma gave her and he shouldn't have let it be okay for her to make them fear her.

Either way, one of Ino's key traits is that when she cares for people she cares deeply, enough that she mentally throws herself through the ringer when she knows she did wrong. I saw another review state they thought she got off easy, but these are 12 year olds and Ino didn't know the extent the move would have either. Which is why her father had that talk with her.

Which makes me wonder why he didn't before? If they had discussed these topics that wasn't the impression I was given during the reveal of Ino's technique. Considering the mind is a dangerous and fragile thing you would think he'd have warned her?

I do enjoy the teams as they are, growing and learning from mistakes. I do enjoy that you incorporate that, yes, people can do wrong. That they won't always realize it - you give perspective. You do a good job of the mistakes and learning from them to make people better, to make the teams and their teachers better.

I found myself frustrated with about everyone in this story, but adoring some. Some I am liking more than I do from canon and some I just want to hug.

I'm not sure you're continuing this. If you are, awesome. If not, you certainly left things on a more hopeful note for all the teams.

Thanks for the story, i really liked how you portrayed all the characters’ pov equally to tell a narrative. Hope there will be some continuation of this, either time skip or epilogue because there’s still a lot of potential in this gem

That, was a satisfying conclusion. If I do say so.
Good pacing throughout the chapter. Most issues were resolved, or clearly shown seeds of it happening after the ending.
Also, you ended things with the best team. And I'm not just saying that cause they're my favorites. But they're the most stable and healthy team out of the bunch and I really enjoyed seeing you develop that.
I still headcanon that Hinata and Sasuke get together after this. Shikamaru was right, he's adorable. Hope he gets the happy ending they've all been working at.

Would have liked a few more details on how that fight with Orochimaru went, but this was an excellent story. Thank you for writing it!

...people are so bad at explaining this concept to Shino. They're all talking about 'allies' in the abstract. No, point to Shino's team. "If Ino had thrown Sakura to an enemy shinobi during the 2nd Exam, do you think you could bring yourself to work with her, ever again?"
"What if it was to pass the Exam? Does that make it justified?"
"If it was for the good of the mission, why does it matter that your teammate got hurt? Why should they care?"
And the real kicker.
"Team 10 clearly cared enough to help your Team when they thought you needed it. What if you had actually needed the help? What if Chouji was bleeding to death in your arms and they had a method to help...but they didn't since they assumed it was just a ploy to gain their trust?"

You never turn on allies because when it's life-or-death you can't afford to question where you stand with people or if they're trustworthy.

They're also skipping over a key point, in that, yes it was just an exam. Not something as serious as a mission. But that makes it far worse, imo. Because they were willing to betray allies and burn bridges for something that was "just" an exam. What might they do for something more important? For a Hokage-sanctioned mission?

Lol, I love just how done Hiashi is with everything.

Poor Kiba. I hope he gets better soon.
Why do they keep glossing over Ino's involvement that contributed to Kiba's current state? Yeah Orochimaru did a lot of damage but Ino laid out most of the damaged. I still feel like she got off too easy.

Interesting developments. This was a good chapter.

Thanks for updating. My favorite team has to be Team 8, the team of smart, cool and logical. But mostly, they are so endearingly cute in this story, trying to give Sasuke a home. And I’m a sucker for Hinata and Sasuke interactions, sue me. I also really like Team 10, because you need that one team to break. Akamaru and Naruto together is just really sad and makes me wistful for the team to be together again. And Ino grows up to atone for her behaviour.

I love more and more!
