JRA-7567 chapter 37 . 22h
Awesome to see Ezra lose for the first time because of how unfocused he is and finally Sabine makes a move. Cayle being the amazing bro he is picks up and tries to stall só that Ezra can talk to her, to which I laughed way more than I should have. As always the scenery and the fight was perfect, so yeah, I'll be eagerly awaiting the next chapter :D
Guest chapter 37 . 22h
Really interesting to see Luke in action, with Ezra observing how he duels. Ezra is definitely confident in his skills and abilities, but as he interacts with Masters Dooku and Jinn, they point out how it can be a flaw and a temptation of the dark side. He doesn't seem to fully accept their advice, however. Looks like Ezra going to meditate to gain focus and clarity, as well as reflect on the words given to him by the Masters, was not as successful as Sabine begins to invade his thoughts. Especially, as he begins to think if she was the one who messed things up with her previous relationship, and how she might be stringing him along. As Cayle informs him on the change of plans regarding his duel and how it's going to take place now, their conversation regarding Sabine only serve to further agitate and confuse him more. He's definitely not bringing his A-game to this duel, and it becomes clear as his opponent is revealed to be Master Dooku and the match begins. Cayle's POV is interesting to see as he knows right away that Ezra is not doing so well, and things get even more complicated as Sabine decides to call Ezra's cell. As he has a tense conversation with her, watching Ezra's duel with Dooku, then letting Sabine know how he's doing... they both get shocked as he loses. Ezra's definitely not going to want to speak with anyone as he reflects on this, and I wonder if his loss will allow him to learn to avoid his doubts over Sabine and to not be overconfident. Oh boy, I don't even want to imagine how tense things will be next chapter, as Ezra reels from his loss, and Sabine is agitated over not getting to speak to him.

Well, this is certainly a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one to have Alrich's POV as he returns home. I really like his character, despite him only coming out in two episodes, and it's probably cause I'm a big fan of his VA as I mentioned before. Based on Ursa's opinion regarding the Jedi, I would assume that many Mandalorians don't trust in them. Wonder how Sabine would react if she were to learn the full truth, like her more traditional mother, or her more open-minded father. Well, at least there's comfort in knowing both Alrich and Ursa are just as confused as we are over Sabine's recent behavior. On Ezra's side of things, he finds himself pressured to do something about the situation after an amusing chat with Master Dooku, but his beliefs on himself are holding him back. Looks like there is further mysteries regarding Ezra's origins and what the Kaminoans did. I definitely can't wait for this mystery to clear up as the Jedi and Ezra look into it.
Guest chapter 35 . 7/31
I took a break and come back to three pretty awesome chapters. Don't worry about delays, hell I'm still grateful you came back to work on this great story after the hiatus it went through. As for the chapter itself:

I just love the attention to detail you put in the duels Ezra is having. The movements him and his opponent use, the tactics as they use the lightsaber forms, and Ezra's thoughts as he analyzes his opponents. Despite being set to fail, he shows that his skills and strength in the Force are not to be dismissed. Special mention goes out to his duel with Master Stella, it wasn't as easy as his previous duels but it was still a challenge and quite captivating for us readers and the audience it seems. Perhaps they're warming up to Ezra, or at least respecting his skills and power. Definitely surprised to see Alrich in there, but the man obviously has connections and power himself. I do like how accepting and supporting of Ezra he is, Alrich always seemed like a wise man. It helps that his VA, has portrayed wise men both good and evil in various media. However, his conversation with Ezra only adds further mystery and confusion over Sabine's recent behavior. Definitely hooked to seeing how it'll play out.

Please update this again soon. We need to see them talk and Sabine try to be a better friend to Ezra seeing as Ezra is doing the most compromising in this friendship
Sleepless-actual chapter 36 . 7/29
Well we're getting a clearer picture for Ezra's life. But I don't really believe he needs the Kaminoans info to live his life happily, he's got his family in the house and friends all over the country. But that leads me to Sabines side, she's too busy convincing herself that everything's fine between her and Ezra not realizing he's already distancing himself emotionally from their relationship. She'll lose him and won't realize it until its too late. Well thats another chapter well done! But unlike other times, I let 3 chapter stack up this time! See ya in the next review boss!
Jedi Jelsa777 chapter 37 . 7/29
Dang, so much happening! Can't wait to see what happens next!
Sleepless-actual chapter 35 . 7/29
Holy hell, that was an experience. Stella gave it her all and gave Ezra a run for his money. And in the end when I thought she'd be a poor sport about losing to him, she showed a good sense of humor. A good reminder of what we all need sometimes. Good job Boss!
drathgure chapter 37 . 7/28
i;m surprised that you haven't worked Gibraltar into the story yet somehow
Crispybear chapter 37 . 7/27
od chapter. I did not see Ezra taking down Count Dooku in his first Jedi dueling tournament. Count Dooku was the perfect candidate to knock him down a few pegs, having trained with him AND being one of the best duelists. No shame in that. I hope Ezra takes it in stride and don't go off the deep end. Like he said himself, the odds were stacked against him from the beginning.

Sabine really has not done Ezra any favors since meeting him.

Ghosted him, taken advantage of him, disrespected him, distracted him...

Maybe this really makes him question her and turns him away from her and drives him to someone else.

Looking forward to what happens next.
Shadow3636 chapter 37 . 7/27
Great chapter. Master Jinn was right with how he was acting. Also he was thinking about Sabine which put him in a bad move. He lost because of both of these if I had to say. Had Sabine maybe called a day earlier, he might’ve been in a better mood. Ultimately he shouldn’t have let it get to his head like he did. Thanks for the update. I’m interested to see their phone call. Also to see her reaction to not only him training to be a Jedi but to also to him being Vader. Although that’s probably a ways off. Anyways thanks for the update and keep up the good work!
