I'm really loving your writing! This is the first time I've ever left a review for anyone. I've been reading non-stop through your works to get to this point! Thank you for all your words, I'm enjoying them immensely :)

LMSharp chapter 44 . 7/9
You know, I'd forgotten about Harry's strong reaction to using the Sectumsempra spell. Eventually I'm going to take the time to reread your series to refresh my memory on some of these subplots. Occasionally you lay them by for a long time in the real world, but you usually do come back to them. Harry's aversion to working with Snape makes sense now. It still isn't rational, but it's psychologically sound.

The Draco and Harry scene here seemed like a concession to your storytelling, somewhat like Marlene and Sirius's breakup. Marlene never really attached to your core cast. She was an afterthought in the story and so an afterthought in Sirius's life, so they had to break up. Draco and Harry, however, still have to be pretty central to your action, but Draco has lately had much more development with Ron.

Your Draco does differ from Hermione, Luna, and the Weasleys somewhat in that his alignment with Harry's side of the war is rooted more in principle than in friendship. I actually really love your Draco for it: he's friends with Harry and the others because they exemplify the virtues his mother and Snape taught him (half by accident) to value. He's fighting with and for Harry because he thinks Harry is /right/. The others agree with Harry's principles, of course, but they've spent much less time thinking about them, choosing them. They fight with and for Harry because Harry is their friend. The relationship they have with Harry is very different from the one that Draco has with him. But that doesn't mean that Harry and Draco's friendship is less valuable or important. I appreciate you took the time to go back to that in this chapter and point out all the times Harry has been there for Draco and how much Draco used to lean on him and highlight how they've been estranged as the result of Draco's spying and Harry's preoccupation with fighting Voldemort and how they both regret it.

I also appreciated the insight into the information Draco has been providing to the Death Eaters and their reception of it. I hope Voldemort is as satisfied with Draco's results as his father is, because to me, the information he's been revealing seems rather petty and incomplete. It seems to me like his true allegiance must be pretty obvious.

Good work on showing Ron's continual work against the Imperius curse. At times before, it faded into the background. Here, you're making sure we remember he's still trying to build up resistance. I'm not sure whether to lament his apparent weak-mindedness or applaud his persistence in trying to overcome it.

And Hermione /will/ rub in their needing to read up on Hogwarts: A History!
megant8 chapter 44 . 7/9
Excellent chapter, as always. I have also forgotten what the exact terms of the imperious on Ron were - could you just tell me what chapter to go back to? Thanks!
Hinny FTW chapter 44 . 7/9
"No," Potter said. "It's really not."

Every chapter, I brace myself. Knowing there will be a chapter that you'll mess up the characters from how they are in my head.

Then, you throw in lines like that and I know for a fact it won't happen. You just understand how they operate. It's really amazing, thank you again. This wasn't the most shocking or action packed chapter, but very necessary for the plot. Harry and Draco bonding hasn't happened in a long time so they were overdue, Ron's funny bone is showing and Harry is brilliantly observant again.

I honestly can't wait for the next chapter! So far I've been religiously checking this one every 3 weeks for updates, and you've yet to disappoint. Kudos to you!
christjp05 chapter 44 . 7/8
I love this series. Keep it up. While I would love to read your take on Harry Potter through 7 books (and beyond) I don’t know if I can stand the wait. All your chapters are so good. I love the twists especially Harry and Fleur. And the fact that maybe Fleur is looking at Harry a little different after Ch 43.
Your writing is tight, characters are 3 dimensional and flawed. And I don’t know who is gonna pair up with who cause they are all still too young and preoccupied with keeping Harry alive.
Thank you and please let your muse open the floodgates so you can write with passion and keep sending out excellent chapters.
