Thanks for this piece, staying with Dean's feelings and giving the brothers some moments to regroup. I imagine Dean was thinking what you wrote, and felt the torture of his interactions with Mary and Lucifer. And when Sam and Dean do finally talk, they're not in the same headspace; this is quintessential and satisfying too!

So I was re-reading your fic “Waterways” from my favourites list because I just absolutely love that story and I was like why haven’t I checked out more of your stories?! So I came and found this one and wow. It’s amazing! I love this little dose of brotherly love that we all so desperately needed after the terrible, traumatic death of Sam in that episode. This had so many great moments... Loved the whole thing, excellently written. I didn't think I could get more emotional about his episode but you proved me wrong.

I was thinking of something like this after I watched the episode - but this is waaaaaaaaaay better! you did - as always - a wonderful job! you just portray them with so much love that I am always happy when I get an alert that you wrote something new. (I am actually kind of waiting for it, tbh :D. and, damn I needed this fic after last week. omg, all the angst in the episode killed me! watched it on my way to spnuk on the plane (on a phone, we were really desperate) and when we arrived we were a total mess. so, thank you, thank you, thank you! this is exactly what I wanted and I think just I cannot live without your codas, so please keep writing these wonderful fics (no pressure!) which are always in character (which so few fic writers achieve) and always so full of brotherly love. I start rambling so I better stop :D
