Reviews for Erlking - The Goblin King |

![]() ![]() ![]() Very good. I know it's meant to be one installment but man that ending leaves open so much to build on if you ever got the inclination. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great job, very chilling! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I enjoyed it. It had a great pulse to it over all (you could feel the fear, which was great). Some typos and odd turn of phrase that were a bit jarring, but most of that was ignored easily enough. The tone was what really gripped me, and the subject matter. You conveyed it well. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was fantastic. I love the slow buildup of tension, the relief, then the realization that the relief was premature. Nice work! |

![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, I love it. I only know the lied by Schubert and your story is totally in the right tones with that small piece. For a second I was scared that Sarah escaped in yours, but we escaped the happy ending. My what am I saying, I'm such a monster. xD The enticing king and the horrified "child", the unknowing but worried father, the chase and eventually the loss. You transcribed all of it really well. I never thougt of Labyrinth and Erlking mixed together and really you had a wonderful inspiration there. Great work despite some typos. Thanks a lot for the ride. |
![]() ![]() Very good. However, silly girl to try to resist the FAE, RIGHT?AND RESIST JARETH? Never. Momster or man, Maybe the poor girl came to love him near the end of time. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, I loved this story! I have a soft spot on folklore and really appreciated how you often hinted at it. If you ever write a sequel I will be sure to read it. |
![]() ![]() I enjoyed your poem and I enjoyed this story too. Thank you for writing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I really enjoyed this! I actually had to take a break 3/4 of the way because I could literally feel Sarah's panic as if it were me in that car haha. Excellent pacing too! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was great. Thank you for sharing with us :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Can you imagine what the police would say? Oh! This story gave me chills. |
![]() ![]() oh gosh. this would be the perfect beginning to a long story |
![]() ![]() ![]() Intense and terrifying, with beautiful descriptive prose. It reads almost like a poem, incredibly creepy but exhilarating in a disturbing kind of way. Very enjoyable, I confess that even dark and dangerous Jareth is a snare on the senses and scarily quite tempting |
![]() ![]() Holy smokes, what a ride (pun intended) |
