You know? I like this story a lot. It just you take the cringe to such an extreme that it takes me an hour for each chapter. Can't decide if that is good or bad, but every social cringe scene is too strong for me. Would love to know if even that is intentional. Keep writing!

Damn, quite the ending. I almost hate you for the cliffhanger. Don't worry, that's a good thing. I really look forward to an update, but I gather that might take a good couple months. Fingers crossed either ways. Love the world building you're doing here, and how you're keeping Naruto in character for most of this. Unique take on the Sage too.

why the hell would he just blurt out his identity to an opponent? namor is hardly going to keep it a damn secret right!? why couldn't he have just said "when you want a rematch, find the Maelstrom" or something else that uses his fake name?

so I'm supposed to believe that naruto can't hit the teenage blob hard enough to hurt him after one kick... no flaws there. oh but wait it perfectly set up a sappy moment with jean. ok there's the reason.

the finger to head thing is a move specifically put in the comics, animated shows, and movies as a que to the reader/audience that a character is doing something with their mind. there is no reason whatsoever that their mind powers require much less work better with their fingers in closer proximity to their head. axe the pandering bullshit when it's for visual aesthetics. you're writing doesn't need the unnecessary purposeless theatrical gesture.

I'm unclear on whether he killed the 2 robbers. hitting someone with a manhole cover like a discus would certainly kill a human it taken in the chest or head. off center or to the leg would likely live, but every bone in the path of the metal would be shattered on impact. and kicking a guy in the head so hard it cracked? sounds like a fractured skull (probably dead) or his head spun so hard his neck snapped (quadriplegic or more likely dead).

the 'naruto eats more than physically possible' bit isn't humorous. it's proveably bullshit. he has a stomach. he has intestines. there is a limit to the volume of material that can be forced into his gastrointestinal tract. further, even if it were possible, by writing that he ate that much, you are also writing that your character shits like the triceratops from Jurassic Park. Which means he's not just going to fill the toilet, he's going to bury it. you putting in the anime trope of eating a mountain of food while people watch in astonishment is an overused cliche that detracts from your own original content.
Recycling tropes used a thousand thousand times doesn't contribute to your writing quality. it negates it.
As for the fight. the substitution jutsu needs something to swap places with. in the inactive danger room, where exacy did he get a log to switch places with?
i personally can't comprehend a naruto that isn't a practiced, even experienced killer after being made an active duty assassin-soldier-mercenary. the entire concept and premise of what the canon world of naruto is supposed to be is clearly and blatently twisted beyond the realms of logic, reason, and even the most basic of critical thinking skills into a PG shounen kiddie show. and it bothers me that people write stories as if that premise makes any sort of sense. that people stop in the middle of fights to compare sob stories. that the child soldiers trained (sometimes from the time they started walking) to rend flesh and shatter bones never seem to kill anyone. even when they can reshape the very landscape they do battle on, they aren't real killers. maybe the enemy gets caught in their own trap. or they do the classic disney fall to death.
doubt I'm going to be able to continue this story. i can't enjoy kiddie content.

Furthermore, why bother making him a mutant? between chakra, his new eyes, presumably his eventual rinnegan as well, and the nine tails chakra he has a plethora of abilities to work with without adding mutant abilities. it feels like overkill, or overambitiousness. I believe adding mutant powers will overshadow chakra, which i believe is a mistake.
