awww that was so cute and sad ugh. all the feels

Really great job with the characterization and emotions. In the movie Loki didn't have a single line in that scene, with their father, but thankfully Tom Hiddleston still let us know more or less what Loki was thinking with his fantastic acting, and you have brought that out and built on it so well, everything feels true for both of them, in terms of their reactions and emotions, their relationships with each other and their parents. And Loki changing like that, I do think that would interrupt Thor's escalating anger and remind him that of all the things Loki's done over the last few years, they didn't happen in a vacuum. That moment with the umbrella and the illusion beginning to give way, positively fraught with tension.

Wonderful! I wish Hela didn't come so soon in the film. The exchange between the brothers could have been very interesting...

This is a really neat idea! I like the story going this way. I'll never get enough of Thor and Loki being sweet with each other ;)

I specifically liked the line where you wrote (I'm not going to quote the whole thing) "something broken...remembered its shape." THAT was powerful.

I love Loki and Thor together. This was a beautiful scene, very well written.
