I think the reason that people thought Ash was OP was all of the Pokemon you were giving him and his friends during the regional tour.

I would take if I had the time but I’m working on own story featuring Ash and co but the idea if Ash had an older sister, and it taking place in Sinnoh. Still if I had the time, I would change their story completely from adding the idea of Ash being in a love triangle with Lillie and Serena trying to get the Kantoian Trainer to notice them, and as well cutting down the number of Pokémon that they find during the regional tour or cutting it out, and focus on the Ultrabeast arcs from the anime and add some original ideas for Ultra Guardian missions for Ash and friends could get some new interesting Pokémon.
