I really really like how you started Snape as someone who had to fake hating Harry in order to play his role. Most fanfics get it wrong IMO in that they cast him as hating Harry because of his father. After knowing Harry for so long and breaking through in weak occlumency that other Snape most fanfics insist on is just not credible.

Well, you were right, Siri was very messed up. I wonder, was the homophobia in himself unique to him, or something ingrained a bit more due to the pureblood upbringing and having heirs? I know you said Regulus was gay, but he wasn't the firstborn and original black heir... perhaps family expectations were different? Hmmm
