Holy fuck I found this story a couple days ago and finally got to the end (so far) and what a wild ride (so far). Man I really hope he gets away with it. Honestly in this story I can’t help but hate people like Midoriya, Lemillion, and Iida. People who, while not admitting it to themselves, care more about the rules and their image (low key on that last one), than they care about true justice. The only time that I can remember Zach going too far as Death is when he defingered someone and made it to where they couldn’t talk. I mean I wish there were more stories like this one. This story definitely made my corona quarantine period a lot better, so thank you.

Amazing chapter once again! Ngl I feel a little conflicted with the outcome. At this point I'd want Zach to just chill in prison and not lift a finger for society any more coz he's done like... 90% of all the work. Once the prime minister's link with the league gets exposed, heroes and his "friends" would probably ask for his help again and I feel a bit vindictive if the story goes that route. Zach doesn't have to live his whole life as a selfless, sacrificial individual. I just want him to be happy. Please give him a HE! Stay safe and sound during these troubling times!

I’m really fucking excited to see the trial. China’s prime minister saying that is crazy, but at the same time its exactly what Zach predicted lots of chapters ago. Countries fighting over him due to his abilities. I hope you update soon because I can’t wait to see what happens.

For chapter 231 it would be cool to have endeavour to defend Zach like I’m pretty sure endeavour knows he’s death but denies it to others so it could be cool to see that dynamic. Also from the way the heroes seemed to be at the end of the fight being very relaxed with him when moments before he was fighting them it doesn’t seem like there is going to be another court scenario like it could’ve been a distraction for the villains in some way. Again love the chapter and please keep bringing them out quickly!

Why you gotta keep doing this man ahahahaha. That Momo scene at the end killed me. It's once again a sad day for Momozaki shippers lmfao. Momo's sentiments on Zach this chapter were really depressing, it's almost like the girl's given up on him. Nonetheless, I stand by my ship. The SS Momozaki shall rise again!

Shipping aside, It's both sad and understandable why Jirou is the only classmate of Zach that hasn't warmed up to him since he returned. While I, as a reader, don't share her sentiments on Zach, I certainly don't blame her for her own. As much as I want them to become friends again...I (depressingly enough) don't see that happening. Hell, the current state of their friendship is so dark, that I even doubt that Zach killing Kaminari would make it better. This feels like a build-up to an arguement/emotional rant scene I know it.

All of this feels like a build-up to Raiden vs Lifebringer. With the foreboding chapters you've been releasing, I don't know if my heart'll take it. It'll be interesting to see if Kaminari is able to capitalize on Zach's being in prizon. Things have been fairly "normal" since his last appearance, which is extremely worrying.

That Bakugou scene was also foreboding. Is Zach gonna die? Is he gonna be incacerated THAT long? Why wouldn't he be able to ever talk to Bakugou again, let alone fight him. Surely he'll live, surely.

The first prison and trial (ark if you can call it that) that involved Zach went to was such a shock to me as a reader, that it's giving me PTSD for this one.

oh also I'm quite sad that you've referred to Midoriya vs Bakugo at the last Sports Festival quite a bit yet you never wrote it outit sounds great I would've loved to read it. I remember the focus was on stopping the bombers from bombing the stadium, so it was very much about Death and Endeavor rather than the students participating in the festival.

Quite possibly the most drawn out and unnecessary amount of reading I will never do is this story

Those words. The build up, from the moment Zach stops spinning the pencil, the look of nerviousness of Midnight and everyone surprise, as well Deku and Todoroki's tension to the moment Zach ended saying that last sentence was a good work of build up tension. I felt the chills when he said that.
Author, you do know to flip the situation in a narrative. You have done it several times already in this long-ass story you made, always leaving clues so it doesn't interrupt our suspension of disbelief. Althought I'm not sure if I should call this a plot twist, since it was already hinted that it was gonna happen soon at the previous chapter. We knew it was happening, but not this sudden.

Not gonna say anything about the fight, but I do gonna say something about some of the heroes who participated in this operation. I had noticed Lemillion didn't truly hated or saw Zach(Death) with disdain, but at the same time he had a duty to do as a hero. Same with Star-spangled Man and many others.

Nobody wants to go after him, but they have a duty to the people to hold the laws in order to keep the peace. A lot of readers will be vouching for Zach, that this is unfair for him, but the thing is that Heroes are symbols.
They can't things like this get away, or otherwise they will leave a negative precedent, as well stain the symbol they are, to themselves and others. They are meant to do this, and not be shady(like Zach was) because even if it meant being more effective in their work, as Zach expressed before, society would star shifting into a more dark, violent one as they would go accepting more and more the darkness in their heroes, which, given enough time to escalate, would case society and the world collapse terribly, which is, ironic enought, what the villains would have wanted.

There are to phrases that comes to mind at this realization:
"Those who stare in the abyss for too long will have the abyss looking into them". This story is a good example of this. Zach is the reason.
But also:
"Hell doesn't exist to punish those who sin, it exist in order to deter people from committing them" The idea behind this is a very similar of the idea of a hero(in MHA at least), BUT the latter takes an opposite direction.

Hell is meant to inspire fear so no one commits a "sin". And if it were to exist, the souls of the "sinners" would have to go there to face damnation in order to keep it's Symbol valid.
The heroes are the same, they are symbols who exists as an EXAMPLE which people have their focus on. They keep the peace according with laws that are meant to keep it, and all are meant to be looked up by society, which in turn takes their example. And thus, they take good virtues with them so that society follow the example.

Two ways to deter crime, one by fear, and other by hope. Zach recognizes the one that inspires fear is good for dealing with villains, but using too much of it not only converts you into a monster, it converts others into ones when they see how efective it is. Short them is good, long term it isn't.

The latter one, however, is more sustainable since it doesn't escalate into the world of chaos Zach predicts it could happen.

Regarding Zach Sasaki's controversy , heroes also need to valide themselves as Symbols of hope and justice, and letting Zach off the hook of his crimes, when they good good evidence agaist him . .would be failure to valide their symbol. And thus the symbol would fail in it's efectiveness.
The same goes the other way around: When Zach confronted the Fabu in their hideout they weren't as scared of him because they said he "had soften up" as he was back as a hero, thus denying Death, The symbol of fear, Hell.

Tl;dr : This fic presented me two ways of keeping peace and order: through fear, or by being a good example.

I don't understand the ending or everyone's feelings about it aside from Bakugo.
He's been arrested and just...gave up? And yet people are happy he did?
But they can't actually contain him? It all just seems stupid and messy to me.

Too much angst. Would have been awesome if he became a villain. Then he and Shigaraki would be the handjob duo.
