Ive decided this is a harry bashing series. Ginny is so out of character its basically a OC. Ginny is always better, more power, all the tools to do better than everyone. First. That is my second favorite song (first is Faithfully by Journey)' the Disturbed version not Simon and Garfunkel. Second, as much as I love your writing and stories, this emotional rollercoaster is killing me. Lastly, in the same vein, you said that Books 6 and 7 are going to get "dark, very dark". I've read your idea of "dark" and if it gets too bad I'm bailing. Regardless of much I've enjoyed this series, you have built a great deal of emotional investment for me in these characters and I won't hang around to see them destroyed.

I've thoroughly been enjoying your take on the stories. When it comes to the revelation that molly had been with someone else it seemed quite obvious that it was going to be Lucius, I was just waiting for it to be revealed. I'd argue that ginny's mental state wasn't necessarily one that would have allowed her to ask those questions or talk about it until she felt ready. They way you brought this discussion about flowed incredibly well!

I never do this. I rarely leave any kind of review at all. However, after over a decade of reading fanfics and occasionally dabbling in the writing of fanfics, yours is the only fanfic I have ever wished was the actual, original story. I just wanted to say, Thank You.

Wait what do the Greengrasses mean by 'they buried Astoria' like she's DEAD? if this is the next part of the Slytherin Harry series, in FOURTH YEAR, why is Astoria suddenly dead, when she was saved back in third year of Slytherin Harry? And the last chapter of the previous story made it sound like Astoria was still alive from the way Harry was talking to Daphne about Astoria.

Thank you very much for your well written story. Your pace, working within the restrictions of this format, is very good what with ending chapters on cliffs. Your later editing may be the cause, but the clarity of plot and character reasoning is logical and seems true to each character as described by you. Thanks for a really good story.

Love the series so far, but have a few bones to pick with you in this one.

What happened to the machine that saved Lupin? Why weren't they brought to Hogwarts to help the champions? Also, all 3 have families in the magical world. If a blood transfusion helped Ginny, why not a few pints for the others as clean blood going on while one of the machines (or a series of them) sucked out the blood before it got to the brain - or was set up in such a way the blood below the brain was kept there and filtered by one machine while another focused on cleansing the brain and the familial blood supply was used to prevent brain damage? Granted, the shunting required is pretty intense, but with magic to assist...doable.

Killing off and/or maiming the champions was rather low. As was the introduction of the kraken - it just...felt off. This year's tale and last year's, the "off" has crept one. It's almost like the effort to keep from having a superHarry and superFriends fic has led to overdoing on the ability of the villains. Like: how the everloving farfegnugen did Kakaroff GET A KRAKEN TO BEGIN WITH? It's a bit to ginormous and deadly to bring in a fishbowl. Or a ship. And assassins that are capable of destroying a quidditch stadium box seats, which one would expect tot be for the famous and important, so would have better wards?

And It's almost like no story can be completed without completely destroying Harry and Ginny mental or physically. Not injuring. Destroying. Second year was necessary, I grant you that one bc basilisk and possession. Third year, a lot of recovery, followed by
The quidditch stadium (see above re construction and warding)' and killing off and maiming more characters...and nobody even tries to Levitate the falling box? Just Bill at the last minute? Are you a witch - the only thing that came to mind. Also - t number of people vs he number of assassins. A ward/shield covering three vs the frothy or fifty spectators around them all attacking at once? It's a common theme in hpff, but it grates bc it's not like one armed muggle vs unarmed muggles. It's three armed wizards vs...the newrby rwidents of the of the wizarding world who have been trained for years and use magic every freaking day. Everyone is armed, and add in sporting event mob mentalities...there's as good a chance as any that attack in kind is the response, not running and screaming.

Follow that with the Durmstrang contingent and those issues, then the Dragon Incident, which was very well done. Follow that with the kraken fallout...and the whole thing with Dumbledore...It's gratuitous whumpage of characters.

And where the $&:&-!,!#%\' did the Kraken come from? The dragons were supplied. The trolls made sense. The basilisk was an old beastie log secreted away, but...the kraken? GAH - supervillain moment on a minor character?

This isn't intended to be a flame. It is highlighting a few things, but those are e only real issues with that story that I've seen. Grammar and spelling, some, yes, but not expecting pro quality editing on a fic bc it's a labor of love posted for free, not a manuscript for a career. And I can't really talk about it bc I have t been grand with my own grammar and spelling (small screen and no glasses - makes fir mistakes can't even see...literally). You have a cracking g good premise, and have executed well for the most part. I would have loved to see the ritual postponed for a year or two bc they couldn't get potter, or to fail completely and leave V a wraith, maybe killing Barry or Pettigre in the backlash. Why doesn't anyone take that route? Thoughts? Or rarely take that route?

Please don't stop the series. It is pretty darn satisfying overall, and I am enjoying g it immensely.

I agree. So far, not much of this torture is very dependent to the plot. After all, the plot is pretty much an exaggeration of JKR's plot, right? Different man under polijuce to get Harry's name in the cup - Same result. Flur was a minor character and fungible with most any other character for JKR's plot and now she's dead but what the hell. Bill's already married to Lilly and can double as the woman at Shell Cottage, so nothing really lost? I was really hoping you had somewhere to go. You did away with Snape. Good move, but Dumbledore is now doubling up as ass hole in chief. Maybe we'll see an end to Draco. Good move, but I think you have someone slotted to take his place?
