What an amazing story, I loved it. The way you describe what happened in Chloe's mind during the hours following the revelation is very accurate. Well, she needed more time than that in the show...I hope there will be a Season 5!

Oh damn loved it made me cry

This was the most spectacular story. Thank you for this unique take on the season three finale. I have so many thoughts to share with you, almost all of them praises and compliments, and I don't know where to begin.

I shall start with structure and plot, I think. I thought the layout of this story was ingenious, and it's purpose of capturing the direct aftermath of the season three finale was done to perfection, and quite a novel idea. I enjoyed the believable transition from how Chloe went home and encountered Maze first, which was a wonderful story in itself with the mending of relationships with Trixie. It seems quite like Chloe, as does returning to the precinct. Lucifer bringing justice for Charlotte, and clearing things up with Dan, was also a marvelous off-book addition, and again, canonically believable. Then, you bring it all together so wonderfully when Chloe goes to Lux and sees a broken Lucifer. What you wrote next is inexplicably wonderful, from the discovery of his wings, to the wounds, to her tending to them with such reverence, to sleeping and waking together, to wanting to be together... all the way to that perfectly canonically compliant ending with them returning to work. Ingenious.

A moment to commend you on your writing style and technique is needed. You write with such emotion, and can evoke such intense feelings from the reader. Your diction aids in your story telling, as does your gift of pacing everything so well that nothing feels rushed, and everything is unfolding in a natural way. Pacing isn't an easy task for a writer, so props to you for that. Even if you had the expected few grammatical errors and such, readers would be unlikely to notice them because they are captivated by the spell you have woven in your exemplary story telling abilities.

Finally, and this is possibly the most important part of the Lucifer fandom, is characterization. As expected, you nailed it. You understand the characters so fully that I find it incredibly difficult to find fault in your portrayals, of any of them. Flawless, I may even say. It is extremely difficult for many writers to accurately understand and capture Chloe's character, but yours is one of the best. You showed us her smarts, her reasoning, her feelings, her empathy, her very soul in a way that stayed true to both her character and the show. The way she understood and accepted Maze and Lucifer... I'm at a loss for words. I'm also blown away by how you accurately captured Lucifer and stayed true to his character growth and development, and incorporated his vulnerabilities, anxieties, pain, love, loneliness, and longing all into this short masterpiece. It's a side of both Chloe and Lucifer that we don't get to see too often, and that's what makes it so special. I hurt for both of them, and I don't know many who could portray Lucifer's tortured soul and Chloe's compassionate heart like you did.

In fact, the way you wrote our wonderful Deckerstar in such a raw and vulnerable way yet balance it with so much longing, love, and hope is flawless. It all unfolded before my eyes like I was watching the first episode of season four, and I cannot find a way to pay you a bigger compliment than that. As you are required a critique, my only caveat is that it was too short, and that the ending left too much unresolved, which I realize you may have intended. However, as I mentioned before, it fits so perfectly into the canon series that I cannot help but also love it as is. That ending is such a quintessential Deckerstar thing to happen that I couldn't help but smile and want to commend your work.

All in all, this is a masterpiece that will be read by myself, and many other readers, time and time again. I implore you to venture into our wonderful fandom again with more Deckerstar contributions, and even if we don't review, we're out here and appreciating your work. I totally binged all three seasons and was left with that horrible feeling that so much was left out. Thank the Gods there's fanfiction. Your story filled in all those holes, the writers for the show need to hire you. I hope you continue to write Lucifer, you certainly gave Chloe more depth than the show did. I love this little story and can not wait for the 4th season , and hopefully more of your stories.
