All the interest, very cool so far!

I love all the cute, all the impressions of others being cute, I feel that hard and it's a fun outlook.

They are going to tell at least the relevant NPCs (their kids) about Ulbert eventually, right? With how strongly we are seeing them react to things like their familial bonds, in all directions, I can't see it staying a secret forever. Right now, the bros haven't been capable of interacting with the NPCs like this for long enough to fully realize some of the implications, like how things would look and feel to them, though they have started to. So I can see it not having occurred to them just yet what Ulbert's decline and death looked like from within Nazarick to those without the ability to interact with the RL.
After all of Adalbert's little crash to his explanation to Albedo and Shizu, and his subsequent funk and behavior, only specifying which of the others died versus other reasons to leave for the one person, Ulbert, would even make sense to the others being allowed in the know because it's explaining the severity of his reaction. (Overlord-logic would want to have that angle covered, of course.)

Made me cry, not only while reading the flashbacks but after I closed my laptop for a while and tried to take a nap! That's where most of this is coming from.

I can't help imagining an eventual little familial-huddle, deliberately calling Pandora's Actor up to join Demiurge and Victim so the brothers can explain why their only missing family member (of their smaller, very tight little family rather than Nazarick as a whole) isn't there, and just why they are so certain he absolutely did not chose to leave them, their children, and never got the chance to have possibly joined their displacement. I also can't see that conversation happening without another at least minor breakdown on Adalbert's part all characterization so far considered, thus an actual huddle/group hug thing happening by the end of it. I can't see him being anything but upset realizing that by not telling "the kids" what really happened to Ulbert they started thinking such upsetting and distressing things after he'd promised his best-lifemate to take good care of them. (He may have promised to take care of Demiurge, specifically, being Ulbert's personal creation officially, but from everything so far I would think that extended to all of their kids, son godson and nephew, regardless. They were quite a little trio of brothers, as Pandora's Actor put it. Both the RL "gods" and their creations, which is cool and nice.) And since everyone in that room is so attached to and protective of Adalbert, and each other, clinging and cuddling will happen.
I know what Demiurge was thinking about the importance of keeping to his "settings", but I figure if anything will push him to crack at least a little when in private with his "brothers" and "uncles", finding out his creator died in the RL of some kind of wasting malady and thus as far as those of RL know is truly permanently dead ought to be it. Especially with everyone but Ainz/Momonga being Quite Shattered Visibly at the same time over it. Momonga only not because of his Race/Class, and still probably managing to display lingering distress and grief if not as intensely as he could as Satoru. Probably at least partially by the way he'd end up cuddling his brother in reflex - it certainly sounds like such an arrangement is not at all uncommon to them, and if anything is going to be as upsetting as those flashbacks without anyone in danger of dying...

If taking care of his little brother with things like hair-ruffles and Adalbert drooping sleepily over shoulders is already completely normal to the entire Tomb (thanks to their usual behavior pre-displacement) the Overlord being a little more obviously tender while dealing with such an upsetting topic shouldn't be shocking, even if the NPCs mindsets at the moment would be a little off-kilter at being on the receiving end themselves. Having those particular no-longer-NPCs see him doing something so un-Overlord-y because of something he can't logic his way into reasons avoiding-it-is-more-important might be good for Momonga. Remembering that they can be more familial and less formal in private together is healthier than never being able to take a break at all, even if he doesn't need to sleep and all any more. A touch of "humanity" is a good thing, and if ever there was a /good/ way for Demiurge to absorb the idea that even his favorite Supreme Beings aren't perfect and can make mistakes, I think his "uncles" apologizing with visible distress to Demiurge, Victim, and Pandora's Actor in private for not telling them sooner about Ulbert's death would be it. Unlike when they apologize for snapping and such, it's a lot harder to brush it off as unnecessary politeness and just another reason to worship them so highly when they emote so much distress (because it's a distressing topic for all of them even aside from the worries about each other) or to reason away a mistake quite as emphatically. I don't think it would take away from their personal worship of their favorite Supreme Beings, but it could remind them that even their "gods" are still mortal enough in heart and mind to need the support and comfort of /family/ over service. It kind of grounds them? Instead of being quite as much a distant unreachable deity impression, it helps all of their group be a bit more anchored and real in a way that all their other interactions would take a lot longer to ingrain. It makes the Suzuki-bros a bit more the favorite, greatly-adored elder relatives the former-NPCs are utterly devoted to rather than unfathomable, ineffable, deities.
Though the remembered interactions and a lot of things since are already leaning those three a little more in that direction than they would otherwise be. A few good private conversations and explanations/discussions with all of them at once would probably be beneficial, even without touching directly in the most heart-breaking topic(s). (One being Ulbert and the other easily tied to it being how desperately none of them can quite handle losing another member of their little family so permanently, some more overwhelmingly distressed than others.) Maybe just making it a point to pile into one of their rooms or Pandora's Actor's guard room/lounge on the regular to share a meal in private as a family even if Momonga can no longer eat.
That's one way having Adalbert already helps a lot - he can casually share meals with whoever he wants, all the time, when in Nazarick, which means relatively casual socializing between a Supreme Being and everyone else is happening. While Ainz is crazy busy plotting and trying to make sure they'll be good in the long term on the macro scale, his brother is helping on the in-Tomb, micro scale stuff, strengthening their bonds with their Guild in ways Ainz doesn't have time for and simply probably wouldn't come across, like meals. He can also decide to up and nap almost wherever within the Tomb now, so if someone other than Victim was inclined to join him (though perhaps not as cuddly-close)...
XXxxxadisxxxXX chapter 11 . 3/7
Having finally read through all of this I stand by what I said. Every time you did any type of 'superfriend' scene it had overtly sexual undertones with it. It was fun but that coupled with the MC acting weirdly homosexual and feminine constantly irks me too much to continue reading this. I wouldn't have cared if you just outright said that he was, but the constant trying to stay on a line while not passing it go out of hand very fast. It felt like you were used to writing someone who was overtly feminine and or a homosexual but had to pull back just for this story. I wouldn't have read it if you pushed for that more in the first place as I don't read romance at all but this is just a step above it.

Overall I enjoyed the experience but I can't keep going with it. I wish you the best of luck with your story! ~ciao
XXxxxadisxxxXX chapter 7 . 3/7
I gotta say I like the story but the whole 'super friendship' thing kinda irks me. I just skim whenever I see a scene with it. I understand why it's important for the story and whatnot but I still don't enjoy reading about it. It doesn't have creepy sexual undertones (a lot of fics like this do and if they do I just stop reading as it's creepy af) but it still feels overly affectionate and weird. I think it's mainly because I have never seen someone act like that in real life without trying for romance nor do I believe that I ever will.
