Amazing. Just... incredible. A member of your fireteam recommended I read this, and prepared me for the inevitable depression, but...
Okay, first off, the writing is amazing. Your voice and exquisite prose brilliantly convey the story, as brief as it is, and you take full advantage of the premise (which is, if I do say, one of the most original and emotionally-jerking I've ever come across in fanfiction).
I'm not crying right now, but I have the all-too-familiar feeling of darkness under my eyes and a pit in my stomach. This is the kind of writing I sift through fanfiction to find, the kind of stories I love reading: Beautiful, emotional, and... dang it, I'm on the verge of tears!
Well done, my friend. You have my respect, my admiration, and now, my tears.

You brought tears to my eyes with this. I also love your consept of links between fireteam members being similar to that between a ghost and a guardian.

If you wouldn't mind I would like to use that concept in a fic of my own.
