Aw, this was soooo cute! I really liked this version of the pokeshipping confession. I liked that it was framed more around the idea of Ash thinking about the two of them together rather than the idea of realizing a latent crush. I thought that the things that Ash was thinking about were believable, but his emotional IQ wasn't too high for being Ash Ketchum. I thought that Misty was maybe a bit too confident in the things that she was willing to say. Like, they seemed easier for her to say than they probably were, even though we were in her POV and privy to her potential emotional turmoil. I get that she's thought about this convo a million times in the past and probably has planned answers for all of it, but I'd still panic a bit more if I were her! But I did like the fact that he asked her if she'd thought about the idea of 'us' before and she had many times. That was cute and right on the money. So yeah, good story! I read you back in the day and it's super nice to see that you've written some newer stuff! That I somehow missed, haha. Glad to see it!

Beyond cute

I love everything about this! I didn't want it to end! From Ash and Misty's characterization to Mallow being the one to note how they'd make a cute couple, this all feels so genuine and as if it could happen in the anime! Not to mention Ash and Misty happily shouting and laughing "I just kissed you!" and "You just kissed me!" at each other made me smile like an idiot. Great job!

Oh I loved this it was so sweet and realistic. This is definitely how I would picture a scenario like this, I love how innocent they are. Good job!

Oh, wow, I have been a fan of yours since Regular Chaos! 15 years ago! How wonderful that you are still writing these two! I've always loved the way you write them! This was SO cute! Finally, Ash has his awakening! Loved how you fit it in with current canon. Your humor is great and I love their easy, natural banter. This was such a joy to read and gave me the biggest smile!
