very nice ending of a very good story! Would have been nice to see a bit more musketeers in it, but it was very well written! also liked that Athos got his happy ending!

anyway... the reason I hoped it would be Porthos is because he often gets neglegted in his lovelife in stories... even in the show with elodie it felt rushed like oh lets give Porthos a love interest because its the last episode or something haha anyway I guess Athos does fit better here in this story. that being said I kind of feel like I'm reading Aramis and not Athos... and that's on me because I know Aramis doesn't have the only right to be a good/passionate/ considerate lover...

anyway... does she have TB? Isn't that contagious( in some cases?) hope Athos won't get sick then...

When I realized it was Athos I thought... no! It seemed OOC for him. I was hoping for Porthos to find her the second time, escort her home and have her try to seduce him in defiance of her ex-husband’s abuse and leaving.

Anyways, Athos will seduce as requested, withdraw into hating himself again and she will be left alone again. I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t have much hope for a happy pairing. Please, prove me wrong? She needs some laughter and care in her life before her illness takes her.

well... who would've thought it... Athos you! ha I suspected in the end that it was going to be athos and not Porthos! although I would've liked that! Aramis and 'D Artagnan are barely in this story, sad to say, so didn't think they would be the love interest.
that being said, I kinda felt that Athos was out of caracter here... at least the last part because I could never picture him making presumtions like that! but it was well written! curious to see where they go from here...

Nice chapter... I feel like Elizabeth is right to say such things but on the other hand I think her father has a point in not giving her too much money... with a husband like that...
