As a teacher, I have to once again wonder at the incompetence of the school staff at Hogwarts. I mean even in canon Snape was always an individual that should never have been allowed near 11 year old kids when he has no desire to teach at that level. And going to the forbidden forest for detention as a first year to look for a unicorn slaying beast is ridiculous. In your fic it seems so much worse though. A librarian that doesn't want to help kids find books, an astronomy teacher that doesn't want to be questioned about space and then teaching kids hexes that have absolutely no other use than bullying (like the itching hex). I worry about the kind of schooling people are getting these days if this is considered ok.

This is such a good story, read it all in one go. Looking forward to what happens next. Hope you update soon!

-how things are going in the teachers room when both Snape and Sirius are present

-Oliver nonchalantly demonstrating his new corporeal Patronus and the reactions from the various students/teachers

Oliver being a natural at the Patronus Spell? So obvious, I can't believe I didn't expected it damnit. The hummingbird is also a excellent choice for his Patronus form. Let me guess, when Hermione managed some wisps she was thinking of how Kasey is her friend, all the fun they had in Spell Club or something in that vein. It certainly would make sense.

The Siren's Song. A ghost pirate band. A perfect addition to this story if there ever was one. Oh, I can't wait for Oliver to learn about them too. His head is going to explode, maybe literally so. Now that Charmed4U is no longer their band Kasey could try and make her friends follow the Siren's.
