| tch chapter 2 . 9/3/2018 Wonder why Harry didn't just teleport Frodo to the outskirts of Rivendell in the span of a second? This whole chapter seems pointless. Also did it have to be a bloody staff? People make it sound "cool" but the reality is, its awkward, bulky and unweildy to use in combat. The time it takes you to spin the large piece of wood around in a 180 degree arc to hit your opponent with a spell, the hp wands can get of atleast 3 spells in quick succession. Secondly, the staff lacks the finesse and precision of a wand that can cast complex arrays of spells. According to the lore, Merlin only used a staff for casting elemental spells with area-of-effect results. Coincidently, Gandalf only uses elemental spells in the books and movies with the staff. I was hoping to see Harry using the Eldar Wand in this story rather than a bulky staff like a typical LOTR cliche wizard minus the grey beard and pointy hat. What a shame. |
