To dream the same dream as one other can be strange in real life and a not so intelligent resource in a literary work, but considering the special case of Percy and Gina, I think it’s fully justified. They are going through that period of uncertainty that falling in love generates, and unfortunately they can’t talk face to face to clarify their feelings. Being far from each other is the worst that lovers can endure. At least they had the opportunity to communicate through some letters, but nothing is comparable to being physically close. So all they have left is to think about each other in the day, and we all know that when we think for a long time about the same thing or situation, we end up dreaming about that. And considering that Percy and Gina think about each other in a romantic way, it is totally understandable that they dream of those romantic situations that they would like to live together.

Once the two cute engines declare their love to each other, they will have to deal with the sad reality of "love from a distance." But, as I told you once, Aaron, I prefer to think that romance between locomotives doesn't pursue the same objectives as the romance between humans. So I think that, in the end, Percy and Gina will not suffer so much because of the distance.
