One thing I don't quite understand (/probably it is just me being slow), how come Mrs. Blaise had a poisoned lipstick on and why didn't it poison her? I guess, I will have to re-read the story at a later time to see, if I can figure that one out... :)

I am a little confused about the potions selected. I mean Living Dead? Not much of a party, if you are "dead". I seem to remember that you only need a few drops of Felix Felicis. Not sure about the other potions, however drinking a whole vial of FF seems like overkill. Hopefully I am remembering all this wrongly, and it will make more sense to me in the later chapters.

Yes, it does make sense. After all, what mother wouldn't recognise that her child is not, actually, behaving like her child. But that means she knew that Blaise was abducted. I'm still not sure how. Or was it just an assumption? How would she know it was someone as dangerous as Dolohov?

Interviewed MacNair? But wasn't he in jail? And how Astoria's lipstick prompted Hermione's deductions?

What is the point of taking the brews? The draught of living death is quite dangerous.

How did Dolohov escape? And who or what he was expecting to come for him?
