Kris wanted their own choice back, but how could they fight against the player? They could only give their opinion, their opinion that never mattered. They could only wait, for the perfect opportunity to strike, and take back what was theirs. DUDE DIS FANFIC WAS AWESOME!

Wow... I could really visualize what was happening in the story, and I felt a real, personal statement throughout the whole thing, as if I were Kris.
But something you might want to know is that Chara isn't possessing Kris...

That should be an interesting concept for future stories...

Very impressive! I like the switch to talking to the reader instead of the usual first-person narration.

I never believed in Chara possessing Kris because I believe that Kris is essentially Deltarune’s Chara. The humans have something in common. They each grew up with Asriel.

Then I hit on the idea of it being Gaster, but realised it was too implausible. It makes more sense for Toby to go all meta on us and have the possessor be the player.

Nicely paced, though it kind of jumps too quickly in between the dark world and the normal one. I understand there’s only so much you can do with a one-shot, but still. I would’ve liked to hear Kris lament on how they were barely able to do anything they had wanted to do because they were being controlled. Yes, it was discussed later, but all the same...

But, all in all, well done! I think you did quite well!
