A well done story. An interesting way for Kyouka to find out a bit about Izuku's past when it came to the Slime Villain Incident during her time with Death Arms. It was endearing to read how she thought of the situation and defended Izuku from Death Arms's criticism as well as confronting Izuku to know that what he did was right. It was a good moment between the two with a small heart to heart. Nicely done with the quote at the end of the chapter of Stan Lee. Thank you. Keep up the good work.

Of the background cast of Heroes in canon Death Arms has always stood out as my favourite of the bunch. A solid, dependable man who knows his limits and wants to do his job to be best of his abilities.

You've given us a nice little look into his character beyond the usual depiction of "guy who yells at Midoriya" into something more. If this was ever a story you planned to continue then you've actually made All Might the 'second' hero to acknowledge Midoriya's potential with the first, Death Arms, being his foil in a lot of ways. But whereas All might verbally endorsed the recklessness and reinforced it as rewardable behaviour, Death Arms saw it as a detriment to all the good that could be done by being too self sacrificing.

Jirou actively defending him to her mentor brings to mind Todoroki doing almost the exact same thing just a few days prior in canon, that active defence being repeated nigh verbatim could easily overwhelm most folk. Small wonder Midoriya broke down crying.
And yeah the motivations are similar, enough that more should be done comparing the two approaches.
