I honestly don’t trust Lucy at all. All these coincidences that she just happens to be at the wrong place at the wrong time?

Stumbling along to find August making destructive runes (which he probably was), but Lucy has had like...seven (?) of these exact same stumbles. Natsu questioning Lisanna seems like a step in the right direction, though. I’m STILL not convinced Zeref is truly dead (yes, I will die on my Zeref hill).

I’m waiting to see if Happy is okay! I miss him and his sarcastic but sound advice!

Oh wow, I think this is my favorite chapter so far. Betrayal and not being sure where it comes from. August says Lucy, Lucy says August. And then there's Lissanna. What does she know?!

Lord this story is just just playing with my my head. Lucys confusing motives and Natsu being so hopelessly in love with her and at the same time so conflicted about her. And now he doesn't even know who to trust. Its so twisted and i love it!
I hope Lisanna finally sheds some light for our poor confused boy or this could also very well be a trap. What i wouldn't give to see what goes on inside Lucy's head though!

So much drama and conspiracy! I don’t know if I believe that Lucy did it, it feels too convenient. I have serious suspicions about August — if he was meant to ensure that Irene couldn’t escape, his enchantments would surely be strong enough that no one could break her out. HIGHLY SUSPECT! But really, there’s still so much happening here, my heart is always so happy when I see that there’s a new Gold Hour chapter. Thank you, you are awesome :)

I was so immersed in this story that I didn't even realize that I was already at the last chapter. I honestly didn't expect to find a fic of this quality in the FT fandom, but I am sure glad to be wrong.

God with each chapter it's harder and harder to like Lucy but like? Not a bad thing tbh. Love all the twists in the story so far.

Somehow I think Zeref might be still alive because like? Having his body "fixed" with ice is a little, you know, fishy. Also! How much longer can poor Natsu keep trusting Lucy! Stop thinking with your pants child. Really hope he wises up or there's a real good explanation behind all this.

This chapter reminded me of the scene in Phineas and Ferb, when Dr Doofenshmirtz says "How unexpected and by that I mean completely expected!" I have to admit I lied in the previous review and didn't count the paragraphs in my defense the chapter was incredibly good and I really enjoyed myself reading it. I almost flinched when I read about Zeref's corpse, It was a powerful moment.

I founded incredibly f ck up when Natsu tried to rationalize the fact that Lucy almost killed Happy, with the boy himself! like yeah, she almost killed you but you followed her and tried to stab her first when he ignored the fact that Happy did that because he was suspicious of the lady and though Lucy was trying to betray Natsu, AND HE WAS RIGHT! and Natsu even has the guts to confront Happy about it all while having this attitude of "well you're alive, aren't you?" I just wanted to punch the guy in the face.

So I have to assume Lucy betrayed Natsu once again, when confronted about it she just kept quiet instead of defending herself, as the queen it would be easy to make any clarifications of what happened after all her word is above August's but her silence spoke louder. Natsu has to make a smart decision about what to do with Lucy (and her peers, after all, they are loyal to HER) before he ends like the corpse of his brother.

Omgggg Natsu stop being such an idiot! How many times has Lucy lied to you? She tried to shoot Hapoy, for goodness sake! Happy! My smol bean who is basically the best bro ever. (Yes, I will go down swinging defending Happy.) Zero qualms about taking Lucy down.

Lucy is always at the centre of All Things Disastrous. It’s been too many times to be a coincidence. Stop trusting her! Gah!

But Zeref really IS dead! *sobs* And possibly August killed him? It definitely seems likely, although who knows!

Like a broken record, i say this again. I refuse to believe Zeref is just dead. Im sure he will will rise from the ashes(or in this case a frozen body i guess).
I love how Natsu knows that his brother was no saint yet he still cares deeply for him. It makes me sad.
Also did Lucy seriously release the snake?!I want to doubt it but unfortunately your Lucy is quite untrustworthy..

It's an amazing story with an equally good author. I doubt Zeref is dead but it made me tear up to hear of his death. I love it, keep up the good work.

I realized that I had forgotten to write a review for last chapter, only to come back and see there was a new one! This chapter was near-perfection, I love how you’ve written Natsu & Happy’s relationship. I was preparing myself for a GoT-style Red Wedding, but I’m glad it ended (?) the way it did. Thank you for this story as always, you are my favourite author on FF :)

Like all your other reviewers, I’m super suspicious of Lucy. This is, after all, a FreyjaBee story. All the pieces fell so neatly into place for Natsu here. Eileen’s arrest, Lucy marrying him, Juvia and Gray’s loyalty, civil unrest quelled (momentarily), by the arrival of the Prince now King. All VERY tidy.

But you don’t do tidy. You do messy and complicated. It was all a little too pat, and I STILL have serious trust issues with Lucy! She might distract Natsu with prettiness and sex, but she’s betrayed him so many times, I just keep waiting for her to do something unforgivable.

Happy is still my favourite. He’s on high alert and grumpy, not being lulled into fantasy. He’s the hero we don’t deserve, but we need.

I fully expect to see this rose-coloured glass shattered soon enough. I say that with love, for you and your wicked ways.
