Nice. I like the concept of Veritaserum making you speak the truth even if don't know it in order to arrive at basic knowledge. "Is there life on Mars?" - "No." - "So, where is the nearest habitable exoplanet with life?" That would save a lot of time and effort searching. And how about, "What is the meaning of life?"

Then we come to Luck. Suppose you can only get a total of 10 minutes worth of luck before you start getting bad luck, so 10 tiny sips at different times give you 10 1-minute periods of luck? Do you sip before filling in a lottery ticket? Or maybe just fill in any numbers and sip just as the draw begins and hope they finish in one minute? 'Just as the announcer was declaring the first number, Harry smelt gas - in an instant he remembered turning on the stove to bake a pie but forgot to light the burner - he dove out the window just as the house exploded. "Phew! That was a lucky escape!" As he wandered around the smoking debris, sooty pieces of fabric and paper floated down around him - his hand shot out: It was the lottery ticket! "Phew! That was lucky!" But his minute was up and a great iron girder, still glowing redly, fell down upon his head and killed him dead.'

Hurray. Finally a story where Harry and Neville work together to bring down the dark lords. Love this!

LOL! I saw many stories where Harry fought against fate, destiny, luck and so on and won but to seem him making them work for him is new.

I enjoy seeing Harry and Neville working together to defeat a common foe. That was uncommonly effective. I had rather expected them to OD Voldemort with the luck potion or something. Neville's dissertation on the various potions was most instructive.

Sad that Hermione and Ron hadn't noticed what had been going on!
