Taz chapter 11 . 7/20
The chapter is well crafted. The characterizations are great.
The only problem I have was that I can't relate to the OC. I think what might be missing is a bit more background on Dauen before you get into the main plot. Though some of the story is written in her POV, I feel no warmth for the character. She seems a distant acquaintance, even near the end.
Gingeraffealene chapter 11 . 7/20
I really liked how you addressed all the questions and doubts that Lancelot would have based on his previous experience and mirrored it, after a fashion, with Dauen’s. Very well done, as always! Thanks!
Random person chapter 10 . 7/17
Ohhh Leon was written well! Good to see his struggle with loyalty and what he learned in the end. Also his magical family was a really nice touch to his progress in accepting magic! Elyan's story was more linked to the actual show, and I liked that we got to see it from his perspective, really gives him more depth than the actual show does in my opinion. The colours he sees were quite an interesting addition, made me suspect magic affinity somehow. It really gave the chapter quite a vibrant feel! Also I think your working title for the next chapter is quite hilarious for some reason, but yay love life for lancelot! He needs someone...
Gingeraffealene chapter 10 . 7/15
Wonderful! I think you have fleshed out Elyan beautifully. I choose to believe that he’s got all three. Truly wonderful! Thank you!
Taz chapter 10 . 7/14
This is literally the best and most comprehensive story on Elyan that I've read on this site since this fandom began. Wow. So many years ago.
I'm going to bookmark this chapter to enjoy again in the future.
Thanks very much for this beautiful study in colour.
Vanvdreamer chapter 10 . 7/13
Interesting idea for Elyan! I read the colors as synesthesia which he mistook for magic, because he didn’t seem to be able to do anything with it, but I can see how it might be read to be some kind of perceptual magic instead. Enjoyed the chapter - thanks for sharing!
Gingeraffealene chapter 9 . 7/8
Beautiful. Absolutely perfect. I think you captured Leon’s morality and strength perfectly. A truly wonderful and insightful piece. Thank you!
Magensby chapter 9 . 7/7
Well done chapter on Leon. His talks with Merlin and Arthur went a long way to help each of them. Thnx.
Guest chapter 9 . 7/7
Could you please write one from George's POV? The little brass polisher strikes me as potentially being very astute.
Guest chapter 9 . 7/7
incredible chapter on Leon.
Vanvdreamer chapter 9 . 7/7
Wow. Just wow. This chapter was spectacular. I loved hearing Leon’s story, and loved how you told it. Superb job!
MerlynPotter chapter 8 . 6/30
Lovely chapter! Your writing has improved since the start of this series;)
Guest chapter 8 . 6/30
" He had left it guarded with magic, but he wasn't surprised that Merlin either hadn't noticed or had walked right through it"
That had me in stitches; typical absent-minded Merlin obliviously walking through a magic ward of protection.
Excellent chapter. I'm so glad about both Gilli and Aithusa.
Gingeraffealene chapter 8 . 6/29
I don’t think many people really know what to make of Gilli but you’ve done a fabulous job (as usual) of looking deeply and figuring out who these characters truly are. Thank you for giving Gilli such a great life. And thank you for giving Merlin a friend he very much needed. Refreshing and well done!
Random person chapter 7 . 6/23
Really loved your chapter about Gwaine! I think your story really complements him as the character we know in the actual show, and though slightly surprising, I really loved his backstory:) The best way I can explain myself is to say that Gwaine having a really 'serious' side fleshed out is nice to see, cause while it's true that he is quite carefree, and some of his serious sides are explored in the show, i always thought that they weren't enough. I wanted to see deeper into his problems and how he deals with them, not just some character for bringing in the fun solely. I think your chapter really did him justice! Gwen's story was also great to see, the realistic problem of ruling with Arthur and acknowledging how they have both changed being addressed well. I'm glad that Arthur lived up to what I hoped of him, and even beyond actually, giving Gwen the responsibility she knows she can and wants to handle. In other thoughts, I was wondering if you had any plans to write about Amhar and the other children's interactions (the newborns and the ones you recently introduced)? I think seeing that would be pretty fun and chaotic. Kinda thought about having some big 'family' interaction of the round table too, just because I'm curious how they all interact with one another now? Referring to all the marriages that have happened now and like the bigger 'family' now. Just some ideas I'm throwing around, up to you where you want to take them!:) Love all your character stories so far, and here's to more gems! *firework noises*
