I am quickly burning through your Coco story content and no one can stop me not even myself. Your writing is far too addicting to stay away from for too long. I love how vividly I can see and imagine everything. The more down-to-earth & realistic setting is nice to envision with these characters. The atmosphere is really warm, thoughtful and fun too. I love the laughter and silliness!

So... I kinda want Ernesto to warm up to Miguel? Genuinely. It would be cool to see his character possessing a greater sense of humanity despite his stupid ego. And I like the idea of him eventually forming more of a bond with the boy to the point he grows a soft spot for him too, not just because he’s a pig for validation. I’m thinking on a plane where Ernesto doesn’t have a single killer instinct within him that he would ever act upon. I could always be wrong though. You seemed to have a specific image for this story already set, which I can only see so far right now. I’m so curious about how different this story will be in alignment to the original film...

I’m already enjoying Imelda again omg. She doesn’t sound like she’s going to make courting herself easy wich absolutely excites me! Mostly because it means Hector will be swooning and dancing past obstacles like crazy while she learns to heal, love and trust again. And it’s a single parent/godparent focus. Which I’m quickly discovering I am an absolute sucker for. The character development is so real i can practically taste it!

For some reason the romance reminds me a lot of this one one 80s anime called Maison Ikkoku... I think it’s because of the apartments setting. They’re not quite the same but it’s certainly reminiscent to it, and it’s a really wonderful love story. Reading this leaves me feeling a sense of warm nostalgia

Ummm yeah hi, WHY IS THIS SO FRIGGIN’ ADORABLE? I’m having a squealing-like-Rosita moment right now. This already sounds like a really really cute and sweet story! I’ll definitely have to check that series out later too. This au feels really refreashing to read. I’m not sure if it’s just because I’ve been reading more angst-level things lately and the fluff is giving me a boost of euphoria, or if it’s because this is something completely new and distant from the movie and it’s nice to be able to see a new and unfamiliar scene for a change.

Yeaaasss so we get more musical lingo in this story too? I actually didn’t know the term for when you play right after sight reading before. I think the word sounds rather lovely. Yes! I like the befitting humor in the title. It made me chuckle X)
