I love this! Iruka's panic and anxiety these past chapters is very relatable! I can picture him at his end of the year performance review with the headmaster/or hokage, just sweating bullets internally and feeling an urge to shit himself and panic, but on the outside he has the serious resting bitch face hiding his thoughts; and as the silence almost breaks his composure the headmaster goes "great job! You did great teaching your students, they're the top of their year despite being orphans! Iruka if only I could assign you more classes!" then Iruka is so relieved he almost faints xD Imposter syndrome sucks, I feel it everyday at my intern job Dx Also, I like the direction you're taking the story! BAMF Iruka is in the works isn't it? I mean the water walking and stuff he's doing way earlier than in canon, I feel like he's going to get stronger himself teaching his kids to become monster genins lol. I hope it becomes a long running joke where Iruka thinks he's barely doing enough and everyone is like "holy shit these academy students are SCARY" and the kids are like "Yea but Iruka-sensei is scarIER!naruto btw work your magic! iruka will be overprotective soon! xD)

i also like how you detail what exactly is being taughtit's satisfying like reading a person improving through training. I like seeing Iruka making these kids stronger and safer. Also, since this is slash, what kind of romance type is it? like will he have a bunch of admirers, and he doesn't realize (this would be funny and would satisfy my poly side xD) I'd rather keep the pairing a surprise because if I know, I'll hate it instinctly because it doesn't feel right. i prefer reading and noticing the natural chemistry between characters rather than shoehorned forced relationships written tbh. But of course It's up to you lol! I love how Iruka centric this is and will love this if it continues down that vein and on the effects he leaves on others maybe? I wanna see his kids flourish under his teachings and see him become a confident BAMF teacher. Also those other lady teachers teasing him was funny. of course they panic too xD everyone does! sometimes.. xD
