This is incredibly disappointing that broly died and now his girl is dating and sleeping with an old man at the beginning I liked this story but the ending...ehh not so much

so frieza got erased from existance?

I imagine broly would get revived in an epilogue.. but now there’s that looming threat of how Beerus is going to deal with having his power curbed in a universe where mortals are catching up to him while he steadily loses more and more of his patience with their antics.

Once, someone said in a review to a superhero comic by Linkara "and Dragon Ball fans say their feats are this absurd." It was an event comic, possibly Crisis on Infinite Earths, so you may imagine what absurd battles the characters may have had.

The battle with Broly and Beerus is absurd, and frankly is more over the top that whatever the anime version of Battle of Gods or The Tournament of Power ever did. DBSB tried to have the absurd feat of creating some weird dimension between Gogeta and Broly's fight, but we know that feat was a cop-out to not destroy the planet during the battle, giving even less tension to a tensionless movie. I'm glad you didn't go for the easy route and even allowed Beerus to struggle, something that awful toy Gogeta ever did.

Jaco's cameo was fun, I dig it. Broly's finale is appropriate, and it does feel sad considering how much time you invested on him. I was hoping for more of Paragus thoughts, those were interesting.

It sounds a lot like my anger issues. Gotta appreciate how Beerus is introduced, and Freeza letting his "tactical" side shows his side.

Bad, saiyans can't survive in space

Always love your version of Beerus he takes too much shit in the show really. Frieza is also a lot more cunning and a lot less stupid evil like he was in the movie. Five centimeters? You don’t even have god ki why not start with that Freezypop.

And ironically enough Frieza genociding the Saiyans did more good than bad, without him bringing out the executioners blade, planets would be outright destroyed or drained of any value with needless destruction. Technology would stagnate or slow down for them with their culture, so barbarism would only be inevitable.

Along with the numerous succession crisis after crisis for their ramshackle empire the moment their numbers grow to the point where a child passing the current heir in power becomes more likely.

The same case we’ve seen with broly except without the eyes of a paranoid man to perform an act of desperation, it will only become harder to keep track of and administer the populace once it spans Star systems after all.

Frieza was that omniscient pretense looming over their shoulder a ravine they could never cross. He was no less of a tyrant but he was an evil you knew of. And could kowtow to if it meant keeping your life as canon fodder. And he had no intention of ruling over ash thankfully.

Paragus.. one of those characters that are usually shafted in fanfiction barely a foot note in some cases, seeing some additional depth given to him like this is great. I could visualize his rantings like I was listening to him on screen.

As much as there’s to hate about him there’s also good in there, it’s just the wear and tear of old age, stress, spite, betrayal and circumstance that culminates into the man we see at the end. In a sense he seems tired but he refuses to rest until he can get that phantom of Vegeta off of his back. Good job portraying him.

I imagine the final scene not with Toriyama's art style, but with something more akin of Berserk or Hokuto no Ken. Broly is so angry that he became completely inked with fury.
Freeza having the control is a welcome change!

Doesnt goku know hitting dogs with sticks is animal abuse? Jeez, nostalgic call backs arent an excuse to attack doggos.

"Goku just barely managed to zip away from his lunge", I misread it as "bulge".

I like the narration of this chapter, as fight scenes in fanfics (and literature in general) are very hard to write. I like how in the final part, Broly can't detect Goku. He is clearly using God energy to hide, which honestly is a good idea that should be used more often.
