The Eric and Buddy scene was cute. I really like their friendship... Too bad the writers were cowards and wrote him off.

Ofc Hyde would take Gilligan’s Island and make it a rant about capitalism. He’s right tho, it’s one of the problems with TV. Since things will only get resolved at the end, shit just keep happening.

The last JH scene was very genuine. I like how you’re making them slowly evolve into something more. Both of them left the other one impressed. Hyde at Jackie’s not needing his apology and Jackie at Hyde’s not taking Kelso side. Simply adorable.

Good first chapter!

The cow story is great. I can just imagine... And then I laugh really hard because of course, Kelso would try to steal a cow. Sounds canon to me. More than season 8, at least. But being fair, anything is more canon than season 8.

I like the difference from canon you put in here. That Jackie wanted Hyde to apologize. Anything JH related is my jam. Also Kelso trying to convince Jackie and failing was great. Man, he really is the king.

You know, everyone can agree that Red/Jackie interactions are adorable, but I don’t see much talking about how great Kitty/Jackie interactions are. I love the episode in season one where Kitty tries to help Jackie with that school project (Idk about Denmark, but that’s not very common here in Brazil and I’ve always found very odd... Projects with things like cooking, taking care of a fake baby, making birdhouses etc). Poor girl can’t cook to save her life. Good thing Hyde can, huh?

I like how it was Fez who brought her back. I like his crush on her though she would use him on show for that, it was sorta adorable how she was his godness and stuff.

The whole gang (minus Kelso) interaction at the end was adorable. Fez thinking the girls are talking about sex, Hyde making fun saying they don’t, Jackie arguing they do, Donna clarifying they weren’t, Eric being a smart-mouth... Simply adorable. Love it.

I liked the JD exchange again. “You may not care how your hair looks, but some of us do” lol, this is so Jackie. I also love the detail you gave to the cabin’s description and the how permit thingy. So simple, yet so real. It gives deep and makes the reading flow better. I’m a sucker for realism, I know, I’ve been reading a lot of Flaubert recently.

The JH scene 3 I’m pretty sure you sent me before, but still felt great to read now as if it was to read before. Her thoughts about the description of him are on point. Using the sunglasses even with snow on it, trying to make her throw a snow ball at Kelso, too poor to afford gloves. Also, Jackie not wanting to admit it was funny and calling him a jerk... So her. I love it.

The gang’s car scene was very much in character, I can totally see that. Donna avoiding Hyde, Jackie avoiding Kelso, Fez wanting to sit next to Kelso, Kelso wanting Jackie to sit on his lap, Eric not wanting Hyde to drive and being more scared of Red than him... Great stuff ma’am, just great stuff.

Interesting how the whole scene play it out in Jackie’s eyes. I love how she denies in her head what she said, thinking it wasn’t “probably” no. This scene was always kinda wtf for me, but it also made it clear she found him at least a bit attractive, even if — like she thought herself in this chapter — he kinda need to shave off the sideburns and wear better clothes lmao

You finally published. Damn, I remember when it was just a “project” and you would spoil me (btw I’d love to keep up the tradition xD). Good times. Now I’m sad I’ve missed the first time you published. I wish I had done the first comment. Oh well. Serves me right for disappearing, I guess.

Interesting how the fic will end in “I love Cake”. It’s a great episode, not only for Eric’s shenanigans, but for how pure Donna’s intentions were. I mean, she didn’t even need him to say it back, she just wanted to express her feelings for him. Usually the show (like many others) only focus it on how strong the boy’s feelings are for the girl, it was nice to see a how greatly Donna loves him. Even though he keeps screwing up. Badly. Lmao

However about this chapter... I love how it is Eric’s big mouth that makes everything go south. That’s very much in canon, lol.

You know, I felt like Hyde’s crush for Donna was totally out of the blue in s1. Idk, I was loving their bromance in earlier episodes, until the disco one I hadn’t realized they were more than just friendship-y in Hyde’s side. Like Donna said it (I mean, talked to herself... Narrated?), he keept teasing her about her feelings for Eric, not to mention being such a good pal for her... That kinda reflects the s1 showrunner’s mind about boy/girl friendships being unexistent :/ which they made clear in that ridiculously disgusting Star Wars episode.

I live for a positive JD relationship. Everyone seems to only know how to write how Donna was a bitch to Jackie at season 8... Which always confuse me, since I have NO idea about a T7S s8... pfffff, any ending with nothing but happiness to my favorite gang of stoners ain’t canon.

I loved the flashback in Hyde’s eyes! I really like how his mind work and the whole thought process during his JH interactions was priceless! “Because nothing with Jackie ever seemed to come easy” “She just assumed all guys are attracted to her” “It would make a pretty sweet burn on Kelso” lmao
