This was a great story to read before I go to bed. It's kinda funny because it was like I was reading myself a bed time story.

I don’t understand why you would be giving Callum shredded abdominals, or why Rayla grew into an hourglass figure. The former wasn’t the fighting type, he was more interested in sketching and learning magic. Rayla on the other hand is on the other hand is a trim warrior who has been physically training all her life. A big feature of this show, and a huge reason for Rayllum’s appeal, is that the audience is given different representations of masculinity and femininity. By giving the two of them these traditional kinds of beauty, it makes there romance less interesting, and doesn’t give with what we understand about this show.

It doesn't make sense for Ezran to not be a part of the summit, as he is the king (albeit a young king). If I remember correctly, the last time a summit was held, there was an issue with none of the princes being present (but I am rewatching the series, and I am almost on that episode, so I will no for sure soon).

I am surprised that it only takes 4 days to reach the Enchanted Forest in Xadia, where the Soul Tree is. At the same time, the map of Xadia I am looking at most likely was posted after this story was made. Looking at the map the content of Xadia, going from the capital of Katolis to the lava river border. You would be lucky on horse back to get the lava river with 4 days. The Enchanted Forest must be not to far from the lava river border divide, meaning it must be no more than 100 to 200 leagues from Rayla’s home village.
I do like how Ezran’s ability to talk to animals confuses the heck out of the elves. I do like how you describe how the spirit take physical form and look like a Tree Ent. Interesting test to see if someone really does love the other person more than life itself. Hope you are staying safe during this COVID19 pandemic, till next time Lala2003!

I can see why when Cal and Rayla when to talk to the elven delegation about the Soul Tree in elven lands and their plan, the elven delegation approved it. Since this will reinforce the bond of human royal and elven heroine and by extension the depth of the treaty between the human and elven kingdoms. The time constraint of it being done by the summer solstice (June 20-22), the urgency of the marriage done by then hindered by the fact you don’t mention the date the elven delegation came to the capitol of Katolis. Also we don’t know what the date they tell the elven delegation their plans for the soul tree. So that makes it hard for the reader to fully understand why the time constraint is a problem.
I do like how unlike how fast they can travel this time going into Xadia, there on horseback and not walking. It would have made more sense for both Cal and Rayla each to have their own horse, so it would easier on the horses and they could go farther each day. But with Rayla having no experience with horseback riding and no time for training riding horses it does make more sense to ride the same horse with Cal.
I do find it interesting that the Soul Tree that fist requirement is true love but the second is as important is chastity. I do find it strange that chastity is as important as true love. So, couples that find true love but one or both are not virgins their SOL? The Soul Tree must be like most fantasy unicorns in that to be able to use them, you must be a virgin.
I am fine with that being how it works and that is not a problem for Cal and Rayla so far in this story.
That would be a depressing if say both Rayla and Cal were adults and Rayla was like 60 years old already married but was widowed before meeting say a 20 year old Cal. They would be out of luck because Rayla already had sexual relations with another man she loved but died. What can I say I am a person that believes there is not just one soul mate for each person. I have seen cases where a person finds true love, they marry them, their spouse dies and then years later the windowed person finds true love with another person. This can be both a blessing but also a curse because if they find 2 people, they have true love with they end up in most societies having to choose one.
I do like how you end the chapter with Rayla being cold, Cal puts his cloak on her shoulders and then puts his arms around her to keep her warm! This shows us how much Cal loves and cares for her. I do like how Rayla realizes that one of the signs of true love is when you see the little things that Cal does that makes him, him and you like all theses quirks of his even the annoying ones. I do like how Rayla realizes the love she and Cal have is the type of love she always wanted.
I am back again! The reason why I haven’t finished this story is because is ironically is because its so good! Its one of those things you get hooked on that you don’t want it to stop but when you get near the end of it. You stop watching/reading it so it does not “end.” Its irrational emotional thing where logically you know it makes no sense but emotionally you know it ends and want to drag it out as long as possible. Silly Rayla, she should have given a more detailed note that she left in Callum’s room. Like saying you did nothing wrong so stop beating yourself up (she knows him well enough to anticipate him doing this after what she did). Finally, Rayla explains what caused her so much pain (in the story it has not even a day since the incident, but chapter wise it has been 3). The Soul Tree is a very interesting idea having it being able to bind to peoples lives together and they end up sharing life spans so if there 2 people with radically different life spans, they end up being about even.
I really do like the end of the chapter where Rayla argues with Callum about using the Soul Tree. How she is able to force him to see things from her perspective to understand that if they do this, she will have no regrets in doing this. I really do like how so far in this story that all the main characters form the 1st season of the DP that the core each character is the same but they grow through this story. I do like how Rayla falls asleep while on her stakeout of Claudia do to shear boredom and emotional exhaustion. I do like how Claudia’s triumphant moment where she finds the book she’s looking for, is so loud spooks Rayla to wakes up but also to fall over. Interesting idea for how to find a way for Callum to live longer. I do like how Claudia while knows this plan is genius but she wants to make sure Rayla is thinking clearly before agreeing to do this. Till next time Lala2003!

I do like how Claudia slowly eases out what is bothering Rayla so much. I do like how Rayla eventually after Claudia keeps metaphorically poking her until she gives a reason why she's so distressed in a logical way humans can understand. I do like how Claudia is able to find inspiration at the most unlikely times. I totally can see Rayla being a great ability to sense people’s true intentions (has lots of points put into sense motive skill) to realize Claudia knows something that could possibly help with the problem of big differences between life spans of humans and elves. Good job of showing Rayla in the haze of the bliss that people have when the just recently got engaged with the person they are in Love with. I can easily see why Rayla does not like impractical clothing, especially when it’s hard to get out off since she's highly trained warrior/assassin that totally realizes on being extremely dexterity and mobility for defense. So being stuck in clothing that very much limits your dexterity would annoy the heck out of her.
It’s hilarious that Ez is losing a hide and go seek with Bait, you know the magical toad like critter that glows when he's hiding. Way to go Rayla, ruining a nice surprise gift by sneaking up on him as he forges and makes a diamond ring for her. I do like how Callum is both smart enough and is able to deal with the extreme temperatures that come with a forge. Poor Callum saying something that is totally romantic for a human to another human about growing old together. But, since Rayla is a elf and elves in most universe's in including all the universes of the Dragon Prince they live usually several centuries longer than humans, she will most likely be note even middle aged when Callum will die from old age. This even more painful since Rayla is about the same age as Callum makes this even more painful. So Callum saying he wants to grow old with her is unwittingly one of the least romantic things to say since it is something that will never happen unless something magically allows him to both live longer and age more slowly. Once again Rayla makes a situation worse by not immediately explaining why something is bad like why what Callum saying something he thinks is very romantic but turns out something hurtful, runs away. Which in turn is like emotionally stabbing Callum in the heart.
I do have one question where is Opeli? She is one of the main advisors to the king of Katolis. In season 1 she was a minor character but in season 2 she became a major character and main person to stand against Viren while Amaya was at the breach. Was it because this story was mostly made from information from season 1 with only some changes after season 2 came out? Till next time Lala2003!

With the first paragraph describing the scene where Rayla and Callum are chatting in the garden. Even though you don’t say what is being said in there I can almost imagine what their talking about after 3 seasons of seeing the interactions between Rayla and Callum. It’s funny how shy Callum is about his sketches of Rayla and how he’s a bit of a knuckle head to think that Rayla would be offended by him with top grade sketching/drawing skills making great life like drawings of her.
I do find it funny that Callum thinks the result of what Rayla finds in his notebook will piss her off but instead it makes her fall in love with him even more. Because, it shows her how he over time while bringing Azmondias back to his mother Zubeia, he slowly falling in love for her. Great way to end the chapter with a heart melting scene of Callum and Rayla both proclaiming their love for each other. Till next time Lala2003!

Sorry about the long wait, I was planning on doing the rest of your story early 2019 but lost my reviewing muse to do proper in-depth reviews. But now after rewatching Dragon Prince seasons 1 and 2, then watching season 3 and have been watching lore, theory and interviews on the it, my passion for dragon Prince fanfiction has been reawaken. I just finish rereading chapters 1-9 to refresh myself with this great story and nearly a year after reading those chapters there were scenes that really emotionally connected me with it particularly in chapters 7, 8 and 10.
I do like how Callum is able to easily calm Rayla’s fears of not being able to dance asks her to follow his lead. I am not surprised that Callum would be good at dancing, maybe it has to do with his jerk face dance he does in the last episode of season 1 of the Dragon Prince. I do like how Callum mostly has forgiven his aunt Amaya for spring the marriage proposal on him with no warning but given time has realize that she figured out that he was in love with Rayla and that Rayla was in love with him.
Your Callum can be a real romantic when he puts himself doubts aside. Creating the romantic scene in the garden of the castle with all the flowers and some magic. The end result is him sweeping Rayla off her feet. Good job of tugging at the readers happy emotions, especially those people are supporters of Raylum or open to the idea of those two being romantically involved.
So, I see you have changed your fanfiction name from Peppysweetheartkoala to Lala2003. Your new name is a good silly and you’re first name was on same level of adorableness that Unikitty from the LEGO 2013 movie was. Have you seen season 3 of the Dragon Prince, it was amazing! I have a headcanon that having access to an arcanum is what gives the elves their long lives and the more arcana you connect with the longer your lifespan. This is because the oldest humanoid we see in the show has access to all six arcana and it means rayllum can work.
