Haha Asta's super clueless to Mimosa's advances, he had to resist a bit when Vanessa teased him on his arrival with the black bulls, maybe cause she was a stranger then. The sleeping potion part was brilliant, I did not expect it, I love how you tie in small things like that between chapters.

So if suggestive advances don't work I wonder what would get Asta's attention, or what he would look for, if Mimosa doesn't have it, then will Noelle?. I mean I guess he's gotta get over the Sister Lily thing first somehow.

Asta's beginning to show more aggression too. I find that interesting and one of the core components of his development in this story. Like his denial and aggression when he got caught by the black bulls. I see it as he didn't have to deal with situations like that in his carefree village, he's somewhat unaware of what his limit is and doesn't know how to properly handle it.

I can see Klaus being real uptight like this even if he cares for Asta. I like how the Golden Dawn would be much more strict on mission etiquette than the Black Bulls, quite believable. Asta could shine in the Black Bulls because they disregard that etiquette and let Asta be himself, real good writing highlighting that fact, well done.

Also about Noelle, I know you'll write her in when it's ready so take your time, don't feel pressured because we all want to see her. I love this build up and progression and I know this will make it even better when she does get to show up again.

I actually felt angry with James too about how he did things. That's real good writing to be able to make the reader feel those types of things. I could honestly feel what Asta might have felt there.
