I'd certainly like to see a sequel! It sounds like a fantastic idea!

There are a lot of crappy fanfics out there. Even ones that are written well tend to get sidetracked in their fan-based ideals, or extend for too long. But this, this fanfic is beautiful. It doesn’t go off the rails in any maddening plot line, but instead focuses on the simple yet interesting story of a side character from a game represented in Smash Bros. It also doesn’t establish an entire fan-created Smash world, but themes commonly established by Nintendo and the Smash community as a whole. In my mind, this would be a perfect side story for a Persona game. Heck, I would like to see this as a mini animated series. But, if I had to describe this fanfic in one word, it’s WHOLESOME. The very first chapter with Snake and Sojiro is my favorite. I also loved your explanation of our view and their view of their world by using cognition. I cannot wait to see what you write next, and I highly recommend showing this to others who love Smash. I’d also would love to see a story based around the interactions of the DLC characters, but that’s your choice. Keep up your great stories, and as far as your concerned, you gotta fan in me.

I like what you have here. I wasn't expecting the story to cap off with a heart to heart from father to son, and a retrospective by Sojiro. It's the kind of interaction, I think, that drives us to write. The sequel tease kinda nullifies all of the whining about some of the loose threads (what's Sojiro going to do with all the weird currency? Are we going to see Sojiro spectate some Smash?) And I cannot wait for this sequel to take shape, even if it addresses none of that, because you're an excellent writer, and every character you write is on point. Until next time Bob!

This was a unique Smash fic as a whole. I enjoyed the way this and the prior chapter wrapped everything up. It's the kind of fic where I want to see more but really respect that you were able to give it a solid ending note. And after a long time of only being alluded to I like your take on Joker himself, playing up his flashy side more. I'll definitely read the sequel if it happens.

Ya know, one of the very first things I remember thinking when incorporating Joker into my own fic was that I couldn't do the Game Awards thing, because it seemed like a stretch, even for the realm of fanfiction. So first I gotta say mad kudos for making that work. There were little details you nailed. Falco's disinterest, Bayo's inner supermodel, that were so on brand for the characters in question and I hope to aspire to that. when crafting scenes for my own work. Also, Sojiro knowing Pacman and Pikachu is just too good. The slow burn of Sojiro putting the pieces together, even when it would've worked for a character to have just said, "Oh, these are all video game characters, we fight, yadyadyada," is brilliant, punctuating by the amazing punchline of Sojiro's existential crisis Also having Morgana labeled as "a boyish voice" in the trailer was a great callback to the forward flash (?) of P5's tutorial.

This is the pettiest of nitpicks, but how the hell were Ann and Ryuji operating flood lights? Where were the flood lights? How did that not come up before? Like, the picture that is this chapter with such detail and that was the singular thing I didn't get.

But like I've always said, this is a standout among Smash fanfiction. You did good Bob!

I genuinely thought you were leading up to Ren coming back with that opening paragraph. Mario showing up without fanfare is just as befitting however. You really channeled Mario's ultimate good guy/Nintendo's Mickey Mouse with the dialogue, and the pipe was a good touch. The only thing I would've liked is some expansion on the Sakura's vacation. Maybe just a throwaway line about Sojiro's personal highlight of the trip would've been nice. But that's just my obsession with Persona 5 and the characters interacting peeking out. This was an excellent piece of work and, as I seemingly express every chapter, I can't wait to see how this concludes.

I am so glad I found this story! You do the characters well, it feels wholesome, can't wait for more! Also, it's to bad Sonic didn't take for his coffee the way Shadow has his, just eat the beans. Of course, I don't know how Sojiro would react to that.
