I never post reviews, never. So trust me when I say that this chapter was amazing. Of all the fanfics I have read, this chapter has been the only one to make me legitimately cry. Not just feel sad, or go 'that sucks', but made multiple tears form and fall.
I know this was written a while ago, but damn man. You could be a decent writer.

It's good that you left this open ended. Peeta spoke of hope for a beautiful tomorrow. I think I'm starting to cry...
It'll be hard for him to NOT take a real leadership role.

This has been a beautiful story from start to finish. Peeta really was a storyteller, even in canon. I want to hug this story for all the feels it gave me! Thank you.

That was certainly a lot more information. The rebellion against Coin is a lot more organized than the original. Who will have the pleasure of killing the dictator?

This was so good! I can’t wait to see how Coin is disposed of, and the antagonism between her and Peeta is so well-written and realistic. The way you portrayed the All Star squad was awesome, I wish they’d had a Games Centre to destroy in the original book, that would have been really cool.

About your author's note, Effie was not executed in the books. She was rescued from a capitol prison and put into service by Plutarch to help out with Katniss the day of Snow's execution. There's a line in that passage where Katniss says something like the blank look in Effie's eyes. That might have implied she was tortured in prison.

I have thoughts sometimes like Johanna, but hers are more...intense. Whatever I'm going through is nothing compared to her situation, and I respect her for that.

Awww, I loved Mags being motherly towards Johanna, Katniss and Jo talking frankly, Peeta and Jo’s honest conversation and Peeta’s charm, charisma and passion convincing Thirteen to have a proper wedding for Annie and Finnick. You write all the characters so convincingly too. Having Cinna and Mags alive is lovely, but I still feel so sad about Prim.

I have reached the end of what was typed so far. I love the idea of passive resistance. I want to do that. Peeta has tried to keep his hands clean , but war will and has made them dirty. I understand the relationship between Peeta and Johanna.
Coin can't accept that there are genuinely kind people in the world. There has to be a leader after the war is over. We know who we don't want it to be. The best doesn't want to lead, yet that is exactly the reason he is the best candidate.

Another awesome chapter that follows the events of the book but modified to fit your universe. Peeta and the surrendering thing is so in character, as well as his dealings with Coin and Johanna. I totally believe Johanna would want revenge, seeing how she suffered after winning her Games and all that she has endured recently. I can see her do what Finnick did in the Squad 451 Capitol attack mission and sacrifice herself to mutts/save everyone else from danger by blowing herself up... I adore Peeta and Johanna’s relationship though and it would be interesting to see a Gabe-Katniss ( Hawdeen/Everthorne?) romantic relationship, post Capitol ruling.
I have two very minor nitpicks: in the books, it was only Castor or Pollux who was an Avox, not both. The one who wasn’t punished in that way worked for 5 years to pay to release the Avox brother from working in the sewers. And Flickerman’s first name is spelled Caesar, not Ceasar!

This is sooooo good! I love how good Peeta is at reading people and is on to Coin’s plan. His relationship with Johanna is darling, getting her to talk about the water torture and showering with her was beautiful. It also makes me ridiculously happy that this story has Cinna alive in it! Looking forward to the next chapter!

This story is so good, each chapter gets better and better. Can't wait till the next one.

This is such a great idea! Peeta is one of my favourite characters, and I adore how you’ve written him. This whole story is amazing, as you’ve reimagined the scenes that happened in canon so so well. I’ve read almost all of the other chapters and thought it was so perfectly Peeta to be able to win without killing a single other tribute. Gale and Katniss’s reactions to later events are perfect, and you perfectly capture Johanna, Haymitch and Effie too! I will have to read everything else you have written here!
