This piece was so well done, I felt I was watching deleted scenes as I was reading this. Your poignant writing and your characterization and description of characters and setting alike has made this one of my favorite pieces of writing ever. It didn't seem like he felt out of place once he and Natasha became partners, despite the old man jokes lol this chapter was so bittersweet. I loved it. I felt it in my gut. It was so good.
