fun to catchup. glad to see neo and the rose beacon arc. great job. can't help but fall in love with the new girls too. entertaining to see all those side characters together.

It's a bit crazy how much this almost seems like an actual RPG game narratively, and yet isn't anything approaching your average dime a dozen gamer fics. I'm impressed. Thanks for making these.

Crystal's power is definitely mind reading if she couldn't get a bead on what Cloud's thinking. Guess a mental barrier meant to block out an ancient magical being would be pretty hard to get through.

Now I wonder if Cloud will let Red join in on a match to mix things up a little. The kids won't always be facing human opponents after all and not all grimm are mindless beasts. Plus, it'd knock down the ego of some of the more cocky students in class.

Granted, I'm sure Cloud can do just fine on his own in that department.

A few chapters ago Cloud/Jaime told Rose that he was terminally ill, but there hasn't been any mention of it since, did you forget about that conversation?

Well Rose is forming quite a number of friendships here and hee crush on Cloud will probably end up being a running gag with her friends.

It would be funnier if Cloud remains unaware of Rose' feelings to keep the gag going for as long as possible though I'm worried that it would devastate her when she learns that Cloud has 2 girlfriends, one of them being Weiss Schnee and the other, a girl who's almost as young as she is...or are they the same age here? The wiki lists Ruby's age to be 17 by the time they got to Atlas.

But I digress, Rose will either back off but suffer a drop in her performance or for some reason, try to make herself the third girl in Cloud's life...yeah, that's a whole level of awkwardness that I'd avoid.

Regardless, this story isn't about her but Cloud and he seems to be adjusting quite well to Beacon so far but I can't help but feel that he'll be able to stay forever, especially if his condition continues to advance.

Really hoping that Beacon's medical staff or Vale's hospitals have a solution or at least something to slow the stigma's progression.

Well Team RYPP is getting along much better than RWBY ever did on day one...then again, Ruby somehow got Blake excited for redecorating their room on day one...

Anyways, it appears that aside from briefly being ignored at the start, the students seem to take him seriously. Either due to first day jitters or the blunt explanation. And with Rose winning the spar against Pine here, it'll be hard to dismiss him as a teacher due to his age but I'm sure there will still be detractors here and there.

Something I'm sure 3 of team RYPP will be unhappy with and try to dissuade those badmouthing Cloud...at least Cloud's tenure as teacher here will be interesting.

Anyways, I like the new cameos you put in here. Fox and Crystal from Star Fox if I'm not mistaken though their opponents left my head scratching a bit...guess I'm a tad out of the loop with gaming these days

Heh, I knew those girls would make a reappearance one day but what I did not know was it would be them applying to be students at Beacon. Cloud was undoubtedly surprised by this...then again, he likely had helped go through the applications and saw Yuma and Peach among the applicants, possibly endorsed them too since Yuma was rejected at Haven.

Regardless, it will be interesting to see how this team will fare at Beacon though it will probably be even more so once they(sans Rose) learn Cloud is their combat instructor and inevitably spread word of his deeds in their respective encounters.

Hmm, Cloud is unusually very courteous...to a degree with royalty though I suppose that's part of military life, however btief it was rubbing off. Well that and having Weiss as one of his girlfriends helps too I suppose.

Still, I am legitimately surprised that Cloud took Goodwitch's offer, even if the goal was to pardon Neo, she could have maintained her disguise.

Still, this means that Cloud will either need to be more discreet with working for Jujior should he ever dig up any information on Hazsl or Merlot. Or sever the connection before Junior makes him do something that will nullify Neo's pardon and force them to flee Vale
