This was a tough book to get through for me. I kind of felt Shen/Shurin was too powerful and took over the role of bad guy while Ozai continues to chill in a land far away. But the ending was good and the Zutara has been great (clueless as Zuko has been). Wow there’s a lot to be done in the last and final book...

I truly believe had aang managed to balance the world enough and all the air benders were unlocked like in LoK ty Lee definitely would have been one. I thought that the first time I watched that season of LoK

Another great story. Book 3 had some of my favorite moments so far, but this book is no slouch either. Solid job developing characters, even creating Shen as a new villain. I had a feeling about what was happening with Shen, but hadn't quite grasped its extent, so the big reveal was very satisfying. Loving how Azula mirrors Zuko's journey and insecurities, but still has her own uniqueness. You've done a good job establishing distinct personalities and character arcs for so many different characters.

All I can think of for this story right now is a Lady Gaga quotetalented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique.” Haha I will try to write a more coherent review on the last book. Can’t believe I’m already about to be at book 5! I don’t want it to end haha. Again, thank you so much for writing this story, I love it so much.

I must say, Azula’s moment is completely EARNED. Her storyline reminds me much of Zuko’s in canon. It’s beautiful. And Ty Lee, you planted clues about her in the early chapters—I wasn’t entirely surprised when she was revealed. And the Zutara. Wow. I’ve never seen a more organic progression in the fanfiction world. Absolutely fantastic. This is quite the story you’ve woven

Just...wow. a lot of things wee running through my mind trough this but dayum. I full-heartedly approve of the following:
-TyLee becoming an air bender.
-Zutara
-i see a potential for Sokmai? Maikka? however that ones supposed to be called but i approve nonetheless (though am sad Suki will get the short straw if it were to happen)
-Zuko overpowering Shūrin. Even with far fewer sources of chi to draw from, he still did. This may have something to do with the fact he's descendent of Av. Roku? Perhaps he's also a descendent of Shūrin? It's possible no? Ooooooo plot twist. Anyway, im loving this like no sane person should. Huzzah! Onward I go!

I’m crying in the club right now oh wow i made the ugliest noises while reading this chapter
URSA STILL LOVING AZULA IS EVERYTHING I DIDNT KNOW I NEEDED. I haven’t read the comics so idk how canon handles it but i so rarely see fics address their relationship, especially not in a positive light.
AND HOLY HECK. I THINK THIS WAS FROM THE LAST CHAPTER BUT. THE SHURIN REVEAL. OH MAN THAT WAS SUCH A GOOD PLOT TWIST I /SCREAMED/ like it was so well timed and believable and while I never saw it coming it made so much sense like THAT IS HOW YOU DO A PLOT TWIST, PEOPLE!
Everything is so good like. My gosh these fics read at the level of actual published books and I really don’t think I’m exaggerating here
The Zutara crock pot is going nicely too haha the ending to that section was sweet. I love fics where they’re such close friends and then start to veer off into couple territory without really realizing it. But Zuko’s finally realizing it so I wonder how that’ll go next
I could’ve sworn Katara already knew how Zuko got his scar but I’ve read so many fics that I must have gotten it confused, rip
I’m even emotional over Hina hot dang I get too attached to your OCs, even the bad ones
