I loved the original, and I love this one as well. It honestly is one of the most enigmatic fics I know, and I absolutely adore your style of writing. Hopefully you'll come back to this; I'd love to read far more of this!

This story looks interesting. It's a bit confusing right now, but that seems intentional, and I'm sure it will clear up eventually.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure how likely it is that this story will continue. As a reboot, it seems like it shouldn't be too difficult to get at least a good chunk of the beginning written, but it's been quite a while since this was last updated. Still, I am hopeful.

I like that we aren't being dragged through the whole "enslaved" programing bullshit. That I think was a problem as it set a sort of deadline but had vague to no consequence on plot progression.

No Virgil and no reaper(for now) meddling feels so refreshing to me. Like we are kids in the wood and are trouncing through the dirt, finding, and playing with leftovers to build our own would. Basically, this feels like exploration with only guesses to what is for us ahead. When Virgil came in we had the strange MacGuffin of him pushing the story forward and his threat with slave code to keep our protagonist in check.

So, as long as works docent receive outside help (or control) I think this will be a fine rewrite.

at first it seems well written...then you realize while visually nice and descriptive, as a reader, your left with no clue whats going on! Its like watching a movie in a foreign language!

A little less artistically vague and more coherent than the first version, which is good. The plot recap at the end of the first version was very appreciated for that reason.

As I was saying, "Rewriting is a dangerous forbidden technique that is lethal to most fanfics. Only chosen few survive, becoming legends.". I hope yours falls to the latter category.
