Reviews for Knightshade Between the Scenes
Guest chapter 33 . 7/16
Yeah I've never believed Jaune's feelings for Weiss were genuine, I mean even when he told Ren why he liked Weiss it seemed really flaky and he just seemed to be pulling nice things from thin air to say about her, it never seemed real to me the fact Weiss treated Jaune so horrible even before he talked to her didn't help, but I also think the two wouldn't even work as a couple.
Guest chapter 33 . 7/16
Speaking of bathrooms, did Beacon dorms have there own bathrooms, because I don't remember, but it would be pretty stupid if they didn't.

Also I'm pretty sure Pyrrha has been dead well over a year by now not less.

I take it I'm not the only one who thought. Ear scratch Aura Blake making a mess.
Guest chapter 32 . 7/16
I really don't care what anyone says, having a Jaune were he isn't an idiot who lets everyone push him around and get treated like shit even from his team mates and friends, while getting his ass kicked by everyone even Aura-less drunk piss heads on corner streets is refreshing.

Also I get Jaune isn't this perfect in the show, but come on RT wish they could write characters this good, well more of they wish they weren't wimps who listen to pushy toxic sexist fans who complain every time Jaune is on screen for a few seconds, they write Jaune and most other character to seem like weak incompetent idiots, just so RWBY can seem like smart unbeatable Mary Sues in comparison and if you've seen the fights at the end of vol 7 you will know what I'm talking about, if RT were actually half decent writers, who actually cared about this show and it's characters maybe we could have gotten a Jaune closer to this.

Also sure Jaune might have not gone to the rally, but neither did Blake she went clubbing with Yang for bee shipping bait and out of everyone don't you think she would have chose to go to the rally instead, the way I see it RT is ruing RWBY and it's characters, so maybe not comparing RT shit writing to this is for the best.
Guest chapter 30 . 7/16
OK I'm confused, I thought chapter 23 was the first time Jaune met Blake's parents, why is everyone acting like this is the first time Jaune met them.

Also I do like Jaune's ideas in how to help the faunus, but it does sound expensive, I'm just wondering where will they get the wealth to pull something like that off, because I don't think they have that kind of income.
Guest chapter 28 . 7/15
Yeah the only really thing both Sun and Blake having going for them is that their faunus, hell when Sun was talking about Blake to Neptune one of things he said was. "And the best part man, she's a faunus." What is really off putting.

As for Bumblebee I agree with pretty much everything you said, it is nothing more then forced lesbian shipping bait, for toxic wasp shippers, and sure there might be more art and fics of Blake and Yang than anyone else but most of it is just sexual, Bumblebee has the appeal of lesbian porn, sure it can be hot, but it's not what I would call romantic and the rest are just idiots who delude themselves into thinking the two make a good pair, but I'm also pretty sure a lot of people draw it because it's popular and the fact it's a representative ship probably helps, it really wouldn't surprise me if most people who draw and write Bumblebee have never even seen RWBY, also watching Bumblebee become "canon" in the show, god is that forced cringey crap hard to watch.
Guest chapter 27 . 7/15
I do get the appeal of Dragonslayer but like you said before they both look like they could be related, what is really off putting, Yang and Jaune look more like siblings than Yang and Ruby, lets face it if you give Yang blue eyes and stuck her in with Jaune's sisters she would perfectly blend in.
Guest chapter 26 . 7/15
I like how their not together because their dealing with things and inner turmoil, instead of the whole Blake is just way out of Jaune's league and he needs to prove himself to her thing that some Knightshade fics do, those fics just make Blake seem shallow.
Guest chapter 25 . 7/15
Remember, he puked on your shoes!' Talk about holding a petty grudge.

But this chapter did make me chuckle a bit.
Guest chapter 24 . 7/15
One of the main problems I have with parings in the show is the fact there all written in away they have no choice but to fall for each other, anything from someone being the only one to do anything nice or helpful for their love interest, to just down right being the only person they ever interact with, it's written so they have to fall for each other because there's hardly anyone else in their lives, and to me it comes off less romantic and more like some form of Stockholm syndrome than anything, like being the only two people left in the world.

But the one thing I can't stand about it is the fact it makes everyone sometimes come of as uncaring and heartless, like having no one but Pyrrha really care about Jaune when he is having such a hard time with fighting and being bullied doesn't make me ship Arkos, it makes me think everyone else like are main heroins are uncaring heartless bitches, they seem to have cared more about Velvet then they did Jaune, hell they didn't even acknowledge him, the only thing we got was a small head pat from Yang.

If they want to have romance in their show that's fine, but it shouldn't get in the way of the characters building meaningful relationships with one another, because it doesn't do anyone any favours, the fact Jaune still hasn't gotten someone to train him since Pyrrha is both BS and very telling.
Guest chapter 23 . 7/15
I think of what could have been. What our future could have been like.
I thought Jaune didn't have feelings for Pyrrha, didn't he say to Qrow as such.

I get Pyrrha sent Jaune away to keep him safe, but when she pulls stuff like that it does make me question if she truly believed in him.
Guest chapter 21 . 7/13
"Literally anyone in the tournament would have beat Jaune." Wow Blake, way to think so low of the person who has done so much for you.
OK why is Blake now out of nowhere doubting Jaune, saying stuff like he's had Pyrrha and I'm not convinced, like where is all this crap coming from, if Jaune has proven himself to anyone shouldn't it have been Blake, why is she doubting him after he's done so much for her you would think he proved himself to her by now at least.
Guest chapter 20 . 7/13
I really always thought in the show no one really showed they cared about anyone else unless they were trying to get into that persons pants, oh sure there were rare moments, but they were just that, rare.

But this chapter does bring up a good point, what was Jaune's real feelings on Pyrrha, I mean he never really showed any romantic interest in her when she was still alive, so maybe it really was just guilt.
Guest chapter 19 . 7/13
I always thought Blake was bitchy, cold, and unapproachable on purpose, maybe she really is unaware that's the vibe she gives off, still made me chuckle though.

The bit were Jaune thought Pyrrha believed in him but now doubts it, because she shoved him in the locker, does make me question if she really did believe in him like we're meant to think, because truly believing in someone isn't just about training them, it's expecting them to come out on top even if the odds are against them and Pyrrha never really showed that with Jaune, it was just she gave him basic sword training so that's enough to show she believes in him.

I also think Jaune's grieving in the show took way to long, RT really dragged it on if you ask me.
Guest chapter 17 . 7/13
And yet Jaune gets so much hate out of everyone, also it would have been nice to have JNPR do more things with RWBY in the earlier seasons, like why couldn't they have helped more with Blake and the white fang, why was Sun and sometimes Neptune the only two allowed to help, in fact apart from the food fight what did the two teams ever really do together, it seems unless it's for shipping bait or plot no one really interacts with each other.
Ouroborosdragon chapter 33 . 7/2
I agree with DrknssRules1, skipping all of volume 6 was a mistake. Considering all the potential knightshade moments you could of put in. DrknssRules1 pretty much said all what I felt about skipping volume 6, however this could be rectified with flashbacks or mentions them in conversations. Now this chapter on the other hand was great, jaune consoling Blake about killing Adam(in which I agree with you that jaune was the better choice than yang) and that killing is sometimes a necessary evil but an evil nonetheless. geralt of rivia said it best “evil is evil. lesser, greater, middling. Makes no difference.” It’s only when you start to enjoy it or stop caring about it that you become a monster, plus yang and Blake gave Adam multiple chances to back off or escape. They only resorted to killing him when he tried to make a grab for Blake’s broken blade, thus made it self-defence in Blake’s case and protecting someone in yang’s.

Jaune’s reasoning for liking Weiss in this chapter was a little off for me since he already explained to ren why he likes her back in volume 2, "It's Weiss... I'm completely head over heels for her, and she won't even give me a chance. She's cold, but she's also incredible. She's smart, and graceful, and talented- I mean have you heard her sing? I just wish she take me seriously, y'know? I wish I could tell her how I feel without messing it all up." Although I could see how jaune came to this conclusion as his reasonings for his crush on her are pretty shallow to begin with. Love that you are having yang and Blake have heart to heart moments in this story because we haven’t had a well written one since volume 2 episode 6, burning the candle.
