Reviews for Festina lente
QueenElizabethOfYork chapter 52 . 5h
Henry is going to Jane Seymour? Really? So their affair will start soon! Anne needs to ignore this man totally and focus on her kids!
Athenais Penelope Clemence chapter 52 . 12h
I begin to agree with the previous reviewer that Charles Brandon is allied with Catherine of Aragon despite her being locked in the convent. He told Henry to go to Wolf Hall, as if he knew that Jane Seymour was there with Catherine's gift. Such a conspiracy!

I like that Anne has a banquet without Henry. She deserves some fresh air in his absence - air not contaminated with his antagonism. I think Henry will not like her freedom without him, and they will have a class.

Doubtless Jane will be his mistress soon.
Countess of Sherwood chapter 52 . 13h
So, Anne listened to Clarice’s advice and became colder to Henry, or she is acting normally with him when he is around, but she does not care with whom he sleeps. Well, I suppose that so far it is a mask of indifference on Anne’s part, but it is a first step to her falling out of love with Henry.

Now Henry is spending the night at Wulfhall. And Jane comes to see him as she hears his voice, wearing the gift from Catherine of Aragon. All this makes me feel that Charles Brandon could be in conspiracy with Catherine who could have told him that Jane is her ally. Or why then Henry went to Wulfhall and Jane wears this dress from Catherine? I don’t believe it is a coincidence.

I hope Anne will enjoy her banquet alone without Henry, but it will certainly enrage him.
Robin4 chapter 52 . 14h
Another amazing chapter!
YY QueenofTeeth YY chapter 52 . 17h
Oh no! Not Jane Seymour please! She will be Henry's mistress soon!
Child of Dreams chapter 52 . 8/6
Uh oh...
QueenAnneTudor chapter 52 . 8/6
Noooooooooooo... Not Jane Seymour. Hopefully Henry will not be as stupid as he was in real life. I wonder what he will think of Anne having a banquet. Thinking he may start desiring Anne more as she shows her disinterest in his selfish affairs.
French tapestry of life chapter 51 . 8/6
Waiting for Anne's falling out of love with Henry! It will save her! Clarice is great!
FalconOwner chapter 51 . 8/3
Philiberta's advice given through Clarice is great! Only this can help Anne survive in her marriage to Henry. Anne should not pay attention to his mistresses and focus on her kids.

Will there be the Florentine storyline? I want it so much!
TaylorReneeMagnifique chapter 49 . 8/1
No woman can deal with Henry and hope to find happiness. Especially not in his late years. Unless you change his personality and soften him considerably, which will destroy his character because his tyranny creates not only bloodshed but also drama for readers.

That said, I love that Anne is Clarice’s friend and they can help each other. Clarice almost saved her with this advice. I also love the pairings Clarice/George and how you write them, I can see true love between them and I can see a semblance of this feeling in the Ippolito/Mary Tudor pairing.
OneoftheFrenchTrouvers chapter 51 . 8/1
I already want the Florentine storyline. When will Mary and Ippolito go to Paris?
Poor Anne! She does not deserve to be married to that monster… Henry will have many lovers, but if he becomes as obese as he was in history, he will not be able to have sex with any woman. So, the number of years for procreation left is limited provided that you want Henry to be obese.
I am rooting for the King of France’s freedom and new matrimony and more heirs.
DarkBrokenAngel chapter 38 . 8/1
Excellent! I really enjoyed this story because Catherine not your typical heroine sainted and pitied. I have never heard of Ippolito but loved him, so I learned a lot about him and the Florentine Medici.
Swiss reader chapter 31 . 7/31
I absolutely loved reading this book from start to finish. When I'm torn between wanting to read non-stop and trying to slow myself down so I won't finish the book too quickly, it's a clear sign of a wonderful book to me.
Warrior Queen Rosmarine chapter 51 . 7/30
Another fascinating “can’t put it down” historical novel. Read it in less than a day because I was captivated by the story, the historical accuracy and the vivid imagery. Thank you for yet another wonderful read. You really are the best!
ancient dancers chapter 51 . 7/30
Another fascinating “can’t put it down” historical novel recommended in Chained! Loved it so much! All the characters are well described and developed. I liked the storyline of KOA who is not a saint here.
