  Guest chapter 1 . 3/23 I kind of like the corollary too, especially when dealing with Alteran!Harry stories; Any sufficiently advanced magic is indistinguishable from (Ancient) technology. Seriously, the Alteran Drone weapons ought to be magical! A Repository containing the 50 million year history and accumulated knowledge of the Ancients, that's one seriouly overpowered Pensieve bowl! The Ascended are effectively overpowered ghosts who can stll ACT in the real world or can be descended back to life again (either deliberately on their own or forcibly by the Other Ascended) - and essentially serving as their own horcruxes in that case! ;-) |

| Kknd2 chapter 1 . 1/11 Definitely love the bit about 'if I conjure a sword and kill you with it, is that steel or magic killing you?' especially since the actual answer is 'Neither, you killed me.' It's remarkable how badly that setting is constructed (and it's peoples depicted) that such a law existing and such an attempt happening sounds so plausible and in flavor of the original work to me. |

| Cateagle chapter 1 . 12/3/2019 *snicker* That was fun, though I believe a sten gun is 1940's technology but the "advanced" is still relative, given their willful ignorance. Oh, course, the inverse is true, too, and "Any sufficiently advanced magic is indistinguishable from magic" could help their integration into the wider world, but that's a story for another time. Actually, a story applying that to American Indian magic appeared in "Analog" some years ago and was a good read. |
