GaredBattlespike chapter 6 . 2/18
Yay!

More Necro-Harry!

I really like this more reasonable and intelligent Harry!

I don't blame him for not telling anyone, as it would have sounded crazy :"Oh, you heard a voice that NOBODY else di, Mr. Potter...seems sane to me." *quietly to another Wizard "Get the Aurors. Potter has gone daft and did the attacks himself..."

Smart of Harry to keep it close to the vest.

You write your second language better than a lot of english born writers. The story is enjoyable. I hope you don't follow canon too closely in your plot. Thanks for sharing your work.
AndrewWolfe chapter 1 . 2/16
Whoever taught you English did well: you can't quite pass for a native, but your command of the language is excellent.

As a small point of detail, an evergreen hedge in southern England would be cypress, laurel or yew, not thuja. Yew would be the best choice as it's traditionally a graveyard tree, even though it's less common than the other two, and that would be symbolically appropriate for the necromancy.

Severus should be next.
Mar91 chapter 6 . 2/16
A very good chapter
Fast Frank chapter 6 . 2/16
Alas poor serpent, sacrificed for the Grea...uh, to keep Harry's secret. :)
Fast Frank chapter 5 . 2/16
Loads of fun.
PanduhBabyy chapter 6 . 2/16
Oooooh, well I'm suitably hooked. :)
PanduhBabyy chapter 1 . 2/16
So, I admit I came into this fic expecting it to be crap. HOWEVER, I really like it so far.

I will say that for me, the tone could be heavier during him...raising? the cat. He talks about it like its the same as baking a cake.

BUT, he has no frame of reference for types of magic and to him it probably is not different than brewing a pepper up or baking a cake.

Any way, I dig it so far.
automaton14 chapter 6 . 2/16
I love this story. looking forward to more necromancy things! thanks for updating!
Guest chapter 3 . 10/24/2019
SOOOOOO, a magical child in a society where mind magic is common, where love potions are something a potioneer can cook up, where curses can be sent with messages or gifts recives an invisibility cloak. The child knows that his parents had many enemies, he knows that he has enemies or at least should think so with all the servants of the one he counter cursed to death running free, the child is also sane of mind and has considerable intelligence. YET, YET in idiocy or lack of clear thinking what does the child do? HE dons an invisibility CLOAK without prior use of spells to check for nasty surprises.

For an intelligent kind of MC the little necromancer lacks some brain matter. ANY being with moderately working brain would scan not only presents but every dish he wishes to consume no matter the source or time and place it was served. THIS idiotic behaviour is countering the typical and standard GOOD PARANOIA of Overlords or Necromancers.
GaredBattlespike chapter 5 . 10/23/2019
This is getting very interesting!

A Vampire...Ally? Informer? Other?

Hermione learning Necromancy?! AWESOME!

I do like the Harry/Hermione ship, if well done.

I wonder what's going to happen next...
Guest chapter 5 . 10/22/2019
Fun story and interesting ideas and worldbuilding so far, although I think too many things happen offscreen. Like the way Harry and Hermione's friendship develops to the point that Hermione casually lets him break rules, and wants to learn necromancy with him, especially since they got sorted into different houses. Harry also casually mentions plans of killing Dumbledore in this chapter. How and when did he come to that conclusion? o_o

On the other hand, nothing interesting really happens during first year, so yeah... I still like how you subverted (my) expectations by having Harry get rid of Quirrell before he even has a chance to have a go at the Stone. And the good stuff - Harry learning how to necromance like a pro - can only happen out of Hogwarts, at least for now. Second year and Harry in Ravenclaw also means early Luna, woohoo!

I will probably give this a second read since you have also written it in French. Perhaps side-by-side with the English version. :P
