You have really lost track of the plot. Slice of life just seems to not work out with you. Adding horrible things for no reason, mystic powers that don't matter. This is all just filler for what the story is supposed to be about.
Write an action series if you want those elements.

I feel the workable max harem size is 5, some would say to get one for every day of the week but I say one for each weekday with free for all weekends. Still, more characters in the main cast is a juggling act, if you are really good you can juggle a lot and make them all feel interesting. But most people can only juggle a few before they screw up and make a mess. Your way is pretty good, take time to introduce a girl and integrate her into the group before adding more.

This started off okay, but with all the “secret labhidden power” stuff, now it just feels like a self-insert power fantasy, sadly.
