The title exactly summons up how I feel. Why? Why did you make me feel so miserable? Why is it just a one-shot? Why can't a few weeks pass and Judy goes out to find him and convince him to come back?
Why was he incarcerated and how long?

But on the other hand, yes, this is how I would immagine Nick to react if it wouldn't be a disney-happy-end-movie.

I've read this a few times, and it leaves me ... Haunted. Every. Single. Time. Why did he have a wedding ring in his pocket. How long WAS he in there, and Why. Whereas I have gotten worn out reading WildeHopps in Every Story but a fingerfull, I'd Still like to see inside Nick and Judy's minds during his incarceration. And what about After. Where did he go, did Either of them get with someone else? Ever got together?

Hope we get follow up chapters for this for explanation!

The title is the main question. Why was Nick in there? Held as a suspect, or something worse. Hmmm...

this may be short, but I love stories that don't ship Nick and Judy. got boring after a while. well done

nick does act like an idiot here, ngl... when was this „giving up on most certainly mutual love“ ever really „for the other‘s sake“? A somewhat tired trope, but still a fine angsty short (that would benefit from follow-up chapters, pleeeaaase?)

This feels forced. Alters the movie ending with no satisfactory resolution.

From the movie, it's clear that Judy herself isn't a law-abiding citizen. Why would this even be one of his arguments?

It feels a bit lacking in explanation, but the feelings are there in full, and an explanation would probably just dilute it.

Wow. This one was ... Deep. Makes one think and, honestly Want to know. Why WAS Nick in prison, and for how long? What happened in there, was he threatened? Did he overhear someone planning Revenge on him and whomever was close to him? What happens After this, does Judy try chasing him down? And really now, what was WITH that tree figuring?
