A wonderful piece. Clawhowser is well portrayed and the dynamic of Nick and Judy's relationship is fantastic.

I love the fact that Ben is included in the "conspiracy" of the relationship. While someone like him would love to blab about it, and only because of his support and feeling that it was good for them both, he also shows a sense of loyalty and respect. He loves his friends unconditionally and would never do something to interfere, he does what he does because he truly wants others to feel as he does. He is sort of a kit in that aspect and even a bit naïve in his own way.

The way you show the love between Nick and Judy really is fantastic in my opinion. Some may thing a bit too sweet but with what the two have been through it makes sense to me.

Secretly I'd love to see more of Judy's older sister and Fin as well. I think that would make a very interesting side interest in the story, and perhaps a bit of validation. The old crotchety desert fox and another doe. That would be forcing the entire thing down Stu's throat in a very interesting way.

Holistically I went back and spent some of my day rereading some of the story, in particular Bogo's interactions. I'm not sure I fully appreciated the interaction you have going in this story given it's covered what 3 or 4 days at most. The days feel a little packed (my only criticism as I attempt any sort of constructive review beyond blind praise as I really love your story) but the depth of the story you have woven is top notch.

Obviously its about to get even busier. The Judge and Judy, Nick's mother, and then Judy's parents and a select set of siblings (though one might be singled out with Fin? ;) ). The only way I can see this working in the next day, post gyrocopter date, is the dinner going forward with Nick's mom included. Might be interesting for that interaction with the Judge, and I doubt the judge would be disincline to meet his favorite lawyer's mother as well. If I were him I would be as interested in the female that caught his eye, as well as the mother that raised him.

By the way, I like how you built that Judge out. He obviously does not care about the stereotypes, he cares about how his court room is respected, and how the story that is played out there works. The character seems to enjoy when justice is served properly, and to be the type to rule based on how evidence is presented and not based on his own base desire and wants. A strong judge in short, making his praise of Nick that much more respectable and important.

Well done, and I look forward to that gyrocopter date, that is a very romantic idea Nick has in mind, and I'm a bit of a sucker for that sort of thing. Something I'd not mind doing myself as a sunset from the air is quite a sight to see.

I'm sooo with Ben on these two... They are lethally adorable. Their self control, while strained, is epic, now that they've both started to recognize the signs. Truly, a great chapter, and as always, leaves one panting and begging for more. I need a time machine so I can read ahead and not have to suffer the agonizing wait for the next installment.

Great chapter katt, keep it up! Nick did good on 'bribing' Ben with the huge ice cream cake he got. It's nice to know that Ben wouldn't have said anything about their relationship not only cause of Bogo's threats to his beloved treats but just based on how Nick and Judy were treated when both respectively set foot in Precinct One. Sounds like Staggson paid dearly for how he treated Nick and I'm glad that happened. The pact that Nick and Ben made is gonna serve all three well especially Judy while Nick's attending the ZPA for sure. The 'money' ring was really cute and so Nickish. Also Nick ya had to know that ur mom wouldn't have wanted to limit herself to just a couple days given she hasn't seen let alone heard from ya in three years. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Bonnie and Stu wouldn't wanna stay longer as well since they're gonna wanna get to know Nick better. As for their date I can tell it's gonna be good. Can't wait for the next chapter!

What a wonderful fluffy chapter! Benji is going to be a great asset for Nick and Judy, especially for when Nick goes to the Academy. The fox who thinks of everything gets a little forgetful when he has Judy on his mind. Luckily he has Judy to help him straighten out his plans. And the impromptu engagement was so, dare I say, cute! Now on to Date II!

Guess who's coming to dinner.

Since a tod & a doe can be a couple, then a cheetah & a doe can be friends. I'm glad Ben will be chasing off doe crazy bucks. I imagine that he would do the same for whatever vixen sets her eyes on Nick.
