I love the world building for this so much. It started as borderline crack-ish but went wholesome and engaging at the current timeline! I'm happy to learn about the other side of Magical Europe that isn't centered around England/Hogwarts so much. It makes me excited for when Hel starts going to Dumstrang.

Why not simply explain to the old Bat, that his daughter has a strong Cloud secondary and that she's marked those she considers family as her territory?

It should be more than enough to shut her up about the subject or try anything underhanded because she thinks she knows better, which would have potentially fatal consequences as I don't doubt that Hel would try and off her in retaliation.

A kid or not, accidental magic due to rage plus Cloud propagation equals a very nasty outcome.
