With how genuine and sincere Nora is here in her insanity, I think it'd be hard not to smile while writing this. What I appreciate is that even with her mind high off the smell of pancakes and her usual intensity, you haven't forgotten her empathy for others, which is something I feel gets left behind with characters like these and their wacky hijinks.

The two's not-date date was cute, also. Their competition is great, and it's nice to see it remain fun despite each trying to one-up the other. Jaune's early attempts to bore her into submission and Nora setting him up for detention were a cool kickoff. The hugs were nice too. Really, at this point, I think it's become their way of flirting, even if they don't know it. It was nice to see team RWBY react to them, same with Ren being pleased with how much Nora is enjoying herself.

I like this, like the Nora's Arc, like the bits of lewd. It's good.

The writing is practically perfect. Good work, you managed to get to the level of "absorbed in the story". Maybe it might have worked better if it was an AU where they are in University, but probably not.
I await eagerly for Jaune to man up and give Nora a taste of the Arc Romance Technique.
